POLICE have confirmed an alleged fraud probe is underway at Dumbarton FC.
The Sons were plunged to the bottom of League One this week after being hammered with a 15-point deduction from the SPFL for going into administration.

It left them with ZERO points – four behind Inverness who have also hit the financial skids this season.
Financial advisors and consultants Quantuma were appointed to oversee the club affairs on Tuesday.
And after speaking to the firm’s representatives boss Stevie Farrell revealed no job losses were currently in the pipeline.
Nevertheless fans rallied to try and help the financially stricken club – and a GoFundMe page to prop up player and staff wages is closing in on the £50,000 target within 48 hours.
But while the news left them reeling – the Sons face another shock with police confirming they’ve been investigating an alleged fraud for almost a MONTH.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “On Tuesday, 29 October, 2024, we received a report of a suspected fraud at a football club in Dumbarton. Enquiries are ongoing”.
