RTE have announced the line-up for tonight’s show that includes controversial broadcaster Piers Morgan and an Irish Hollywood star.
On the Late Late tonight, Patrick Kielty will be joined by some Irish and international talent for a chat and a musical performance.
Bad Sisters star Sharon Horgan will sit down with Patrick tonight to chat about the return of her black comedy series.
She will also discuss the reaction to the first season and what we can expect from the Garvey sisters this time around.
Sharon will also speak to Patrick about an unexpected royal visit on set and coming home to her family, who are just as busy as the Garveys.
Television host Piers will be discussing his turbulent relationship with President-elect Donald Trump and what he thinks the next four years have in store for America and the world.
The opinionated broadcaster will also discuss his YouTube show Piers Morgan Uncensored and why he loves to wind people up.
Award-winning journalist and broadcaster Emily Maitlis will chat to Patrick about her infamous interview with Prince Andrew in 2019 which made headlines worldwide.
She’ll also discuss adapting the story for screen in her Amazon series A Very Royal Scandal and the fallout from that interview five years later.
Comedian and writer Russell Kane makes his Late Late Show debut and joins Patrick to chat about his new children’s book and his Hyperactive tour, which he will bring to Ireland next year.
And home from several gigs across the UK, Cork singer-songwriter Allie Sherlock will be in the studio to perform her new song and chat about her rising music career and why she still loves busking on Dublin’s Grafton Street.
On last week’s show, RTE viewers were left divided after Brendan O’Carroll appeared on the couch.
It was the first time the Dublin born writer and actor made a public appearance since landing himself in hot water, after the BBC halted filming of his hit comedy show after he made a racial remark.
Host Patrick Kielty brought up the report and prompted Brendan to explain himself.
The comedian replied: “Ah, Jesus. Here’s what happened. I had decided in Mrs Brown’s, one of the episodes… I like to poke fun at, particularly at people who marginalise other people.

“So you have, when Mrs Brown found out her son was gay, I went with that story, but I showed how she didn’t get it.
“She didn’t understand gay. Now, she now knows her son is gay and accepts it, but still doesn’t know what gay is.
“And it was kind of like that. I wanted to poke fun at inter-generational racism, how Mrs Brown doesn’t get racism.
“She doesn’t know what racism is. So it’s kind of like, ‘Eeny meeny miny moe, catch a…’, and I got as far as ‘Ni’… and as in the script, Cathy stopped Mrs Brown and goes, ‘Mammy, you can’t say that’.
“And we went on and we did the rest of the run-through.”
