In Nicole Kidman‘s new movie, Babygirl, the Hollywood veteran plays a high-powered CEO who has a sultry affair with her much younger intern, Samuel (played by Harris Dickinson). And while we know only a few details about the movie, which hits theaters next month on Dec. 25, the little we do know suggests it’ll be quite an R-rated experience.
“I’ve made some films that are pretty exposing, but not like this,” Kidman told Vanity Fair in August. “It left me ragged,” she admitted. “At some point, I was like, ‘I don’t want to be touched. I don’t want to do this anymore,’ but at the same time I was compelled to do it.”
But, before we get to see Kidman in this whole new light onscreen, the Oscar winner is already showing off her sexier side at today’s GQ Men Of The Year Awards 2024 in London.
On the carpet, Kidman wore a bright red long-sleeve turtleneck dress by Balenciaga, per GQ. While she was quite covered up from the front, the figure-hugging dress had an ultra-sexy detail on the back: it was fully laced up in a corset-like silk. While she walked and posed for pictures, Kidman even held the end of the lace in her hands.
If you ask us, Kidman’s latest look is surely a reference to her new BDSM-filled movie. Sure, she’s fully covered up, but this is probably the most provocative look Kidman’s worn in years!
Before her all-red head-turning look, Kidman opened up about the new role in her cover story with GQ.
“I made [Babygirl] because, in my body of work, I needed to do this,” Kidman said of the film. “It’s part of what I do. I’ve never shied away from sexuality on screen, ever. [Director Halina Reijn] wanted to make a film about liberation, female pleasure. And I wanted to do that!”
“’Cause I’ve done a lot of films where I’ve been punished,” she explained. “I’ve done those films where you really don’t get the pleasure from it… A lot of times these films are very punishing. The woman gets discarded in the end or she gets turned around and she has to beg on her knees.”
Instead, Kidman’s character Romy in Babygirl takes control of her sex life and explores it to the kinkiest of lengths. And, if Kidman’s latest look is any indication of what’s to come, we can’t wait to see it!
