Eagle-eyed I’m A Celeb lovers have predicted that radio DJ Melvin Odoom, 44, will be saying goodbye to the camp and hello to Ant and Dec sooner rather than later.
Fans took to the Digital Spy social media forum to express their worries.
One user wrote: “Sorry but I fear Melvin is doomed and will probably be the first to leave the show.”
A second added: “I was looking forward to seeing him in camp as most of time he comes across as funny whenever I see him.
“But he has been way off it and has become rather boring. It could be the edit why he is like this.”
A third admitted: “I had never heard of him. He will possibly be a strong contender for first boot.”
“I guess you could say he’s Odoomed,” quipped another.
The Radio One DJ has shocked viewers by admitting he has a huge crush on his “dream woman” Carol Vorderman – and even asked her out live on TV.
He acted out his desired ‘date’ with Carol to campmates – after admitting he’d been too shy to say hello to the former TV presenter.
Jungle buddy Tulisa Contostavlos encouraged him to “grab the bull by the horns” – and act out how he’d ask her.
Melvin said: “You look sensational today, you’re actually glowing. Listen, I’ve booked a restaurant for next week.
“It’s going to be Thai food, all expenses paid and I’m going to send a cab to your house for about 8 o’clock. See you there.”
The former Countdown host then sent a voice note in to spin-off show Unpacked.
Carol said: “Melvin, or should I say Jungle Man.. Melvin Vorderman… It sounds the same to me.
“Right, question. Have you been spying on me because just last night I had a little Thai food.
“I had pad Thai, quite a lot of it, with a little chicken satay on the side.
“It was delicious, Jungle Man.
“Anyway keep doing what you’re doing. You’re doing a brilliant job. See you on the other side.”
The Unpacked hosts admitted they didn’t know how to react to the presenter’s flirting.
Sam Thompson said: “I don’t know what to think of that.”
Kemi Rodgers shouted: “What is going on?”
The star was previously voted off Strictly Come Dancing in 2016 in week one.
Melvin said about hoping to last longer in the jungle: “If I make it past day one, that is a win. To me, that’s like winning the World Cup.”
