IRELAND AM star Muireann O’Connell has admitted she doesn’t “see herself as a bride” after she opened up on her future wedding plans.
The Limerick presenter has been engaged to her long-term partner Philip Manzor since 2021 – but the pair are yet to tie the knot.
Philip, who is the ex-chief of Today FM, popped the question to Muireann while they were making tea in the kitchen.
Three years on, the happy pair have still made no plans for a wedding ceremony and Muireann has joked that it’s down to their indecisiveness.
In a recent interview with the RTE Guide, the popular presenter confessed: “We’re both the youngest siblings in our families and that’s a disaster.
“You’ve got two people who have never had to make a decision in their lives. We are evidence that you need someone who has a bit more decisiveness in the relationship.”
And although the Irish star was quick to say yes to her hubby-to-be when he propsed, Muireann admitted that she “never thought she’d get married” and added “I don’t see myself as a bride”.
To put a full stop to the speculation, the TV host stated: “I’m sure we’ll get around to it at some stage, but no nothing is planned.”
The lovebirds are exceptionally private about their relationship, with Muireann even referring to Philip as her ‘housemate’, to keep his identity private.
And fans got a glimpse of her fiance this summer when the happy couple went on a romantic getaway to Italy.
Muireann and Philip flew out to Puglia region of for the “first time in six years” and the star shared some snippets of her trip over on Instagram.
The couple stayed at the luxurious hotel, Castle Elvira, which is located in Trepuzzi in the province of Lecce, over the weekend and absolutely loved it.
She shared some stunning photos in the breathtaking venue.
The hot host posed on the balcony as she watched the sunset while enjoying a margarita.
The next photo showed Muireann smiling from ear-to-ear with a group of 15 people on the rooftop.
And fans were quick to notice she was sitting beside her mystery fiance, who she calls her ‘housemate’.

Muireann usually keeps her love life and partner under wraps but “didn’t think” she’d be caught out by the group photo.
Melanie wrote: “Lesser spotted housemate in the picture, wow.”
Muireann replied: “David Attenborough voice.”
Sinead said: “And the fans all zoom on housemate.”
Muireann remarked: “Didn’t think that through.”
Ian commented: “Oh I see the housemate.”
