It was Bring Your Daughters to Work Day for Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson — but instead of just watching their dad, Jasmine, 8, and Tiana, 6, joined in on the action! The little girls, who Johnson shares with wife Lauren Hashian, voiced special characters on Disney’s Moana 2, and the adorable behind-the-scenes video proves they inherited their dad’s entertainer gene.
“Introducing your #Moana2 Moana-Be’s 🌺🥰 My two tornados 🌪️🤣 Jazzy & Tia 🤎🤎,” the Red One star wrote on Instagram on Thursday. He shared a video of his wife and daughters entering Walt Disney Animation Studios to record their lines for the movie, which is the highly anticipated sequel to 2016’s Moana.
“It was a family affair at the @DisneyAnimation recording studios and everyone had a blast!” he continued. “As you can see, Moana is deeply personal and I’m a grateful man

“Is this where you guys get to be? This is so cool,” Hashian says in the clip, as she follows her daughters into the recording studio as they check out a huge prop of Maui’s hook (the character voiced by Johnson).
The girls look adorable in their matching dresses as they stand at microphones to record. “Moana, you’re back!” one girl shouts. They both take turns saying, “Whoa!” and diving to the floor, as their animated characters do in the film. “Method acting, I love it,” someone says off-screen. These girls are too cute!
They also share a scene with their dad, which is sweet. Johnson says the girls’ voiceovers are “much better than Daddy,” which melts our hearts.
Hashian shared the same video on her Instagram, writing, “This was the sweetest and FUNNEST day! So exciting that the munchkins got to voice characters for MOANA 2!! The MOANA-BE’s! Moana’s mini fan club on her island 😍🥹🌺”
“Tonight will be the very first time we all get to watch it and hear their little voices come to life… we can barely contain the excitement!” she added. “This movie has truly always meant the world to them and now they always have an even extra special connection .. definitely deserving of a cheeehooo! 🙏🏼🥹🌺 #MoanaBes! #Munchkins #Donuts 😂 @therock @atajohnson ❤️”
The family attended the Moana 2 premiere in Kapolei, Hawaii, on Thursday night, where they were joined by Johnson’s mom Ata Johnson. The girls looked adorable in their pink-and-orange Hawaiian dresses and sandals as they posed on the red carpet.
In an interview with E! News at the premiere, Johnson shared how “surreal” it was to share this experience with his daughters. “It was really awesome, it was special,” Johnson said about acting with his daughters. He added, “I’m in the background and I’m watching them work, it’s like surreal, man. It was really awesome. It was really, really awesome. And especially something like this where it’s about culture and they feel it, and they see themselves in Moana. That’s really cool.”
Who knows? Maybe one day they’ll get to voice a main character just like their dad!
