Suspended Newcastle star Bruno Guimaraes shares heartwarming clip celebrating famous win in his living room with his son
BRUNO GUIMARAES shared a heartwarming clip of himself and his son celebrating Newcastle’s win over Arsenal.
The midfielder missed the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg due to suspension.
He will be back for the second leg[/caption]The Brazilian, 27, was unable to feature in the fixture after he picked up two bookings in previous rounds.
Guimaraes was not missed on the pitch as the Magpies stunned the Gunners at the Emirates,
Alexander Isak netted the opener before Anthony Gordon made it 2-0 on the night.
Guimaraes still managed to enjoy the game from the comfort of his sofa.
His partner, Ana Lidia Martins Guimaraes, took a video of the midfielder celebrating the full-time result.

Meanwhile, Arsenal fans were left convinced that Isak’s opener should not have counted.
They spotted a push from the forward on Martin Odegaard moments before hitting the net.
More fans were left stunned when Gordon scored his goal as he pulled off a Thierry Henry-inspired celebration in North London.
Guimaraes’ team-mate Martin Dubravka was left in tears at full-time as he appeared to say farewell ahead of a move to Saudi Arabia.
After the game, Mike Arteta appeared to blame the ball for Arsenal’s defeat.
Arsenal player ratings v Newcastle
DAVID RAYA – 6/10
Looked nervy with ball at feet at times but could do nothing to stop Alexander Isak’s brilliant close-range finish.
Unlucky to see his palmed save tapped in by Anthony Gordon.
MYLES LEWIS-SKELLY – 8
Very impressive again. Turned out of danger well at both ends of the pitch. So calm under pressure.
GABRIEL – 6
Gave Isak far too much space to manoeuvre a shot in the box before the Toon’s second. Wasteful and ineffective from corners.
WILLIAM SALIBA – 6
Had an early effort blocked near the line by Dan Burn. Was dealing with Isak well until losing a header to Sven Botman that saw the Toon striker score.
JURRIEN TIMBER – 5
Miised an absolute sitter from a yard out from a corner. Was then caught sleeping just after the break to allow Gordon to double Newcastle’s lead.
THOMAS PARTEY – 6
Linked defence and attack fairly well without ever really doing anything spectacular.
DECLAN RICE – 6
Plays Jacob Murphy onside from a flicked on free-kick that leads to Newcastle taking the lead. Took more responsibility in the second half on the ball.
MARTIN ODEGAARD – 7
Heavily man-marked by Joelinton but looked back to his very best after a spate of illness.
GABRIEL MARTINELLI – 8
Much more direct in his running. Unlucky not to open the scoring with his driven shot hitting the post after a half-way line sprint.
Continued to be positive in his play – just lacked the finishing touch.
LEANDRO TROSSARD – 6
Sneakily got away with dragging Isak down to stop the Swede joining a Newcastle counter in the first half and a good first-time pass to set Martinelli away. Those were his only highlights.
KAI HAVERTZ – 5
May just be back from a sickness bug, but the big German did very little, apart from somehow fluffing a header wide unmarked from six yards
SUBS:
JORGINHO (PARTEY, 59) – 7
Some nice passes into dangerous areas and sprayed the ball about with conviction.
GABRIEL JESUS (TROSSARD, 59) – 6
Lively and sharp without every really testing Newcastle’s back four or goal.]
OLEKSANDR ZINCHENKO (LEWIS-SKELLY, 77) – 5
Booked within a minute of coming on for a rash challenge on Joelinton.
Rihanna looks red hot as she strips off to lace lingerie for Valentine’s Day shoot
RIHANNA looked incredible as she stripped off to lace lingerie for a Valentine’s Day shoot.
The stunning 36-year-old singer ditched her clothes for her Savage x Fenty collection, instead opting for some red hot lingerie.

The mum-of-two popped her red locks into curlers and added white socks and black heels to complete her sensational look.
In another photo, the glam singer stood by a garland of roses and looked down at the floor.
Rihanna showed off her beautiful makeup look while flashing her bum at the camera in a lacy thong.
The Barbadian beauty, 36 – who has been in a relationship with the father of her two children, A$AP Rocky since 2020 – is no stranger to posing in items from her intimate collection.
Rihanna launched Savage X Fenty in 2018 – just one of the arms to her Fenty Corps business.
As well as her undie collections, the beauty and skincare brands alone she’s set up are now valued at an estimated £2.2billion, to which Ri owns a 50 per cent stake.
The Valentine’s collection comes ahead of the Umbrella singer’s hotly anticipated ninth album in 2025, after her a nine-year hiatus and having two baby boys.
But motherhood certainly isn’t stopping her. She’s admitted it’s “really cool to be a boy mum” and although she’s the only female in her household, it’s inspiring her to be even more of a kick-ass woman than ever before.
Fans were delighted by Rihanna’s sultry new campaign, as she penned: “get back in here and love me
“The @savagexfenty Loveline collection just dropped for V-Day. get it online & in-stores now.”
One person replied: “GORGEOUSSSS ,” and a second added: “Not a flaw in sight gur ”
A third person echoed: “Red Looks Goodt On Yewww My Baby,” while others called Rihanna “so hot.”

WINTER is now here in full force and millions of households are all wondering about the same thing – how to get rid of mould.
A study by Homebrite found that an astronomical 58% of privately rented households across England have reported damp, mould and/or excessive cold.
One mum took to Facebook to seek advice on how to get rid of the grim black stains on her curtains[/caption] Fellow fans of Mrs Hinch flooded to share their top tips, which also included a bargain buy you can snap up from B&M for under a quid[/caption]Not can only black spores make for an unsightly mess, the widespread fungi, as well as being exposed by dampness, can also have a negative impact on your health.
The NHS warned that those particularly vulnerable are people with respiratory problems, respiratory infections, allergies or asthma, as well as newborns, young children and the elderly.
Being exposed to and inhaling the mould spores can cause a range of issues, such as sneezing, a runny nose, red eyes and even a painful skin rash.
In some cases mould can also cause asthma attacks.
With temperatures now plummeting, hundreds of Brits have been taking to social media to seek advice and share their top tips to tackle mould.
Amongst them was also mum Amanda Emerson, from Farnham, Surrey, who recently discovered that her white curtains were covered in dozens of black spots.
According to Amanda, who also uploaded snaps of the damage caused by the mould in her house, the curtains were sitting against patio doors which were dripping wet with condensation.
”Any recommendations for getting mold out of curtains?” she asked for tips in the post.
”Hoping to pop them in the washing machine.”
Luckily for Amanda – and anyone else on the lookout for similar tips – more than 50 members of the popular Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips flooded to comments where they offered a helping hand.
One fan of the pregnant cleanfluencer advised the mum to add a cupboard essential in the laundry lot.
”Wash in machine with stated temp but put in lots of salt, it worked on mine. May have to repeat process.”
Someone else was raving about a special store-bought product which shoppers can snap up for as little as £1.50 from Sainsbury’s.
”I’ve them a good spray of Astonish Mould and Mildew destroyer, leave for a while then wash, try to hang on a washing line in fresh air.”
However, if you’re on the lookout for cheaper methods that won’t break the bank, several Mrs Hinch fans recommended another alternative – using white vinegar.
Raving about the bargain buy which you can find at B&M for a mere 79p, one cleaning fanatic said: ”White vinegar, not too hot wash, might need few tries.”
What is mould and how to get rid of it?
Mould is more likely to grow during the winter months.
Olivia Young, Product Development Scientist at Astonish revealed exactly why this is.
“Unfortunately, mould is a common problem many people face during winter. It thrives in conditions that are warm and damp, so your bathrooms are likely to be the most affected place.
“That said, during the colder months most rooms in your home could be vulnerable to mould growing.
“This occurs primarily from condensation that builds up on your windows when you’ve got your radiators on.
“If you think about it, when windows and doors are closed, there’s not much chance for the air to circulate and the moisture to make a swift exit.
“This build up is what can cause dreaded mould to make an appearance, especially in bathrooms, as it creates that warm and wet environment that is a breeding ground for mould.
“If left untreated, not only is it unsightly but it can also pose a serious risk to your health, so it’s really important you treat it.
“The key to tackle mould is to act fast.
“Try to come into as little contact with it as you can. So, grab your gloves, tie up your hair and get to work to remove any signs of mould as soon as you notice them.
“To keep mould at bay, there are some simple solutions you can introduce throughout home.
“The first is keep it ventilated. Yes, even in the cold winter months try to leave your bathroom window open for at least 10/15 minutes post shower or bath. This will get rid of any excess moisture quickly preventing mould gathering.
“If you’re having a repeat problem with mould in one particular area, it might be because the humidity levels are too high. You can get a dehumidifier that will help keep the levels low and reduce the risk of mould returning.
“The golden rule to remember when dealing with mould is the quicker you can treat it, the better. If you leave it, it will only get worse so never ignore it!
“To successfully get rid of mould every time, I recommend opting for the UK’s No 1 Mould & Mildew Remover, that effectively removes mould and mildew stains almost instantly, with no scrubbing necessary.”
Someone else was also praising the purse-friendly cleaning hack, writing: ”White vinegar will get it off, done it myself, came out great.”
The kitchen staple, a popular trick in the cleaning community, has antifungal and antibacterial properties.
Shop-bought white vinegar contains about 5 to 8 percent acetic acid, which can disrupt the growth of fungus and other microorganisms.
Explaining how to use this method, experts from bathroom retailer Plumbworld added: “Vinegar is a great option for killing mould.
“It may smell unpleasant, but it won’t have the toxicity of bleach.
“Pour it straight onto the spores or use a spray bottle.
“Try mixing it with water with a ratio of 2:1, leave for 30 minutes before wiping.”
Boiler expert sets record straight on common MYTH that is raking up heating bills – save cash & stay warm the simple way
IF you’re worried about rising costs and are looking for ways to save cash, you’ve come to the right place.
It turns out that many of us are making a very popular mistake, which is raking up our annual energy bills.
For those looking to cut costs without needing to freeze in winter – you’ve come to the right place[/caption] Thanks to a boiler installation guru, here are some simple hacks to help you save cash and keep warm this winter[/caption] Andy Kerr revealed the “best way to save money on your bills” – and it’s not leaving your heating on low all day[/caption]So if you fancy pocketing some extra pounds, you’ll need to take notes.
According to a boiler expert, making one simple change can make all the difference and will cut costs this winter – and it’s all to do with a common myth.
The question on everyone’s lips is whether it’s more purse-friendly to keep the heating on a constant low or to only switch it on when required.
Andy Kerr, a boiler installation guru at BOXT has offered his professional insight, to ensure Britons use their central heating effectively.
Andy, the BOXT founder, shared: “The idea that leaving your heating on low all day will save you money is a myth.”
Instead, Andy shared that if you want to save cash and stay warm this winter, it’s all about keeping it simple.
He added: “The best way to save money on your heating bills is to only use your boiler when you need it so that it does not continually use energy.”
Andy continued: “By only using your boiler when you want warm water or heating, you minimise the energy your boiler uses in the long term.”
And the justification is straightforward – burning fuel at a constant rate will result in the continual use of energy and energy loss.
Andy provided some more crucial guidance for homeowners, as he advised: “It is more energy-efficient and cheaper to only use your boiler when you need it and to adjust your thermostat to ensure your home is heated to the desired temperature.”
Keen to set the record straight, he expressed: “Setting your thermostat higher will not make your boiler heat up faster.
“Instead, it will cause your boiler to use more energy to reach a higher temperature, which could cost you.”
Cheap gadgets to help you stay warm
MARTIN Lewis' MoneySavingExpert shared six gadgets that can help you keep the heating off but stay warm.
Heating “the human not the home” means you warm yourself instead of turning on the heating and heating the whole house.
This can save money on your heating bill and means you don’t have to sit in the cold.
- USB gloves – initial cost £10, cost to run less than 1p an hour
- Heated insoles – initial cost £10, cost to run less than 1p an hour
- USB hand warmers – initial cost £15, cost to run less than 1p an hour
- Electric gilet – initial cost £50 (including battery pack), cost to run less than 1p an hour
- Microwaveable wheat bag – initial cost £4, cost to run less than 1p per hours
- Reusable hand warmers – initial cost £5 for a pair, cost to run less than 1p per hour
But just as overusing your heating in winter can be costly, Andy also warned against leaving the boiler completely unused during summer.
He reinforced: “You might be tempted to not use the boiler at all during summer, however, it’s always a good idea to run your heating from time to time to stop components seizing up.”
For those with modern combi boilers, he revealed: “If you have a modern combi boiler, when you run hot water the majority of your boiler components are still being used during the summer, although it is still a good idea to turn your heating system on periodically to check your thermostat operation and prevent the wider system from seizing up.”
And to avoid boiler seizure due to inactivity, Andy recommended setting thermostats to at least 10C or using the boiler’s heating controls and timings.
The idea that leaving your heating on low all day will save you money is a myth
Andy Kerr
He pointed out that most boilers allow you to set your timers and schedules, while smart thermostats help control your boiler’s temperature more accurately.
He shared: “Those with a smart thermostat can often control the temperature inside their home without needing to be at the property, making these devices perfect for those travelling throughout the year.”
Not only this, but Andy suggested that for those concerned about energy loss, “making home improvements to improve insulation can save you money in the long run”.
Stressing the importance of insulation, he commented: “Having wall, floor and roof insulation installed can reduce the amount of energy lost from your home, and reduce the time it takes for your boiler to heat and maintain the temperature in your house.”
5 Money-saving tips for autumn/winter
1. Draught-proof your home
It takes time and money to heat up your home, so it’s important that you do as much as you can to keep in the warmth. Close your doors and windows, and fill any gaps with a draught excluder.
2. Dial down your thermostat
According to Energy UK, turning down your thermostat by just one degree Celsius could cut your heating bill by up to 10%, and save you around £85 per year. Plus, if you don’t have a thermostat, installing one could save up to £70 per year!
3. Move furniture around
Make sure not big, bulky furniture like sofas are blocking radiators.
4. Wash clothes on a lower temp and add an extra spin
Unless it’s bedding, towels or really dirty items, dial down the temperature to 20 or 30 degrees, and do a double spin to remove excess water.
5. Heat the person not the home
There’s not point heating up a room that no one is sitting in, so be mindful about which radiators are on.
Love Island All Stars contestant turned down show before making major U-turn after cancelled TV appearance
GEMMA Owens’ ex Luca Bish turned down doing Love Island All Stars before making a major U-turn.
The 25-year-old changed his mind about looking for love on TV just in time for the new series.
He split from his stunning Italian model girlfriend Giulia Ciancio weeks ago.
His change of heart followed his cancelled TV appearance over Christmas.
All Stars 2024 contestant Mitch taylor, 28, yesterday took a savage swipe at Luca – who had claimed the ‘Messy’ star was only offered the show after he turned it down.
When it was announced Mitch has signed up for the first All Stars, Luca commented: “Thought this would happen when I said no.”
Mitch reposted Luca’s comment and remarked: “Damn that’s crazy” as he was revealed to be in the 2025 line-up.
Luca appeared in the eighth series of Love Island in 2022, where he famously coupled up with Gemma Owen, the daughter of retired England footballer Michael Owen.
He had been set to appear in a festive edition of the BBC cooking show Celebrity MasterChef alongside Amy Walsh, Max George and Shazia Mirza.
However, the special instalment had been put on hold amid an investigation into judge Gregg Wallace.
Luca penned: “Christmas is cancelled.
“Gutted our Christmas special has been put on hold but hope to be on your screens again soon.”
The new series of Love Island All Stars kicks off next week with Luca starring alongside the likes of Ronnie Vint, Scott Thomas and Elma Pazar.
Luca joins an incredible line-up of former show stars set to enter the villa in South Africa next week.
Last year’s show kicked off with a huge twist when exes Callum Jones and Molly Smith were reunited four months after they split.
And fans are in for similar scenes this year as former finalists Gabby Allen and Marcel Somerville have both been confirmed for the show.
They met on the 2017 series but split months later after Gabby, 32, accused Marcel, 38, of cheating on her.
