Shocking video shows maniac Scots driver swerving through traffic at 82mph in 20mph zone

THIS is the terrifying moment a maniac Scots motorist films themselves behind the wheel as the speedometer clocks 82mph in a 20mph residential zone.

The shocking video surfaced online showing the driver dangerously speeding through the densely populated streets of Edinburgh.

In the clip, the Honda is seen dodging through busy traffic on Saughton Road North, Carrick Knowe, at a frightening pace – at least 60mph over the limit.

The vehicle is seen swerving to avoid parked cars and oncoming traffic. using the opposite side of the road as the, understood to be, male driver is heard squealing “woah” and shouting “woo-hoo.”

The road bam continues to recklessly pick up speed past Union Park before taking a bend onto Stenhouse Drive at around 32mph.

Sections of Saughton Road North have a 20mph limit imposed with clearly visible street signs displaying the restrictions.

It is unclear when the video was recorded but the clip was shared by Instagram page ‘HoodStigs’ on January 6.

The account that shares viral clips of dangerous driving and crashes on social media also claimed that the Honda driver was carrying a young passenger at the time of the recording.

Shocked followers took to social media to share their disgust at the driver’s behaviour.

One wrote: “Gonna be me laughing in your face when you’re gasping for air when strapped to the drip machine in hospital.”

A second commented: “A kid was killed on this road and the person was only going 30 it is actually now a 20 road made me radge so much!!”

A third added: “70 mph in a built up area which is a 30mph !!Yeah great till it goes wrong !!!

“Do you know how easy it is to find your car in that particular area via ANPR cameras ? Its simple and then follows a ban.

“People like you boy will never learn, life is like a game of Russian roulette isn’t it !!”

In 2006, ten-year-old Jack Anderson was killed by a hit-and-run driver on a pedestrian crossing on Saughton Road North, metres from his home.

Callous Isaac Purcell was handed one of the longest-ever sentences – 12-years – for a death driving case.

Purcell, who was 26 at the time, was doing 60mph when he ploughed into the youngster without stopping.

Police Scotland have been approached for comment.

Billionaire bio-hacker Bryan Johnson vows ‘I will never die’ after injecting his son’s blood & ‘reversing ageing’

A BILLIONAIRE biohacker believes he has the answer to eternal life – injecting himself with his son’s blood.

Bryan Johnson is an anti-ageing influencer from Silicon Valley who does not believe he will die, thanks to his biohacking tricks.

Johnson’s routine includes fat injections, blood transfusions, regular MRIs, ultrasounds, and colonoscopies, as well as a strict diet and sleep schedule[/caption]

The 47-year-old who is renowned for going to excessive lengths to make his body younger spoke about his unusual lifestyle on The Free Press’ podcast Honestly.

Host Bari Weiss asked Johnson: “Do you think that you’re going to die?”

“No,” the tech billionaire answered.

Their conversation comes after a Netflix documentary about his life called “Don’t Die: The Man Who Wants to Live Forever” which documented his full biohacking schedule.

This includes injecting the plasma of his teenage son Talmage into his body, going to bed by 8:30 pm every night, and taking note of nighttime erections.

During the blood transfusions, a litre of blood is taken from Talmage and put into a machine to separate it into plasma, red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets.

These are then fed into Johnson’s body in the hopes that the younger blood will rejuvenate and repair cellular damages caused by ageing.

When asked by Weiss if he believed he would live forever, Johnson explained that this is a concept that can’t be fathomed by the human brain.

“Forever is not a concept the human mind can contemplate, but will we be able to radically extend life beyond our preconceived imaginations? Yes,” Johnson said.

“Will it happen before my natural limit right now? My life expectancy is probably like, I don’t know, 80, 90, stuff like that if I maintain my health.

“But the technology is moving so quickly that…the species is either going to survive or die in this moment much sooner than my life expectancy will turn up.”

On Instagram, Tamalge has supported his father’s efforts and is also biohacking his own body while helping his father do the same.

In one post he referred to himself as an “immortal 18-year-old.”

Another was a picture of him in front of his father’s large array of supplements, “which includes me,” he joked, adding the blood drop emoji.

Biohacking warnings from experts

Professor Tim Spector, the co-founder of gut health company Zoe and author of Spoon Fed has highlighted his concerns about biohacking.

“Biohacking can often be another way of propagating wellness fads that don’t have scientific evidence,” he told The Independent.

“Respecting and understanding our biology and how to maintain our health, rooted in a robust understanding of human physiology and the scientific evidence, is the way I recommend focusing on improving our wellbeing.

“The idea that you can ‘hack’ your biology is another way of searching for silver bullets.

“It’s not something that I think is necessary for most people. Our bodies are clever and have evolved to help us to stay healthy.

“All we have to do is look after ourselves and eat foods to support our biology.”

Meanwhile, Dr Mohammed Enayat, a specialist in preventative and functional medicine has warned that Johnson’s methods may not be safe or realistic for everyone.

Like Spector, he too emphasized the importance of adopting a balanced approach when it comes to health

As the pair promote the Netflix documentary that went out on January 1, Johnson was asked about his relationship with his son.

“I think Talmage views me as his future self and I view Talmage as my former self and I think we are both just talking to ourselves when we’re engaged in our conversations.

“I thought you were gonna say that you view Talmage as your future self” the interviewer quipped.

Johnson laughed before admitting, “Yeah in many ways, that’s true.”

Followers are divided by their bizarre connection with some calling it “parent goals” and others saying “This relationship isn’t Dad and Son” and that it is “quite problematic.”

“This sounds like he sees his son as an extension of himself, not a separate person,” one follower claimed.

Johnson’s 18-year-old son Talmage has adopted his father’s routine as he donates his blood to help Johnson’s mission to live forever

The father and son duo have a joint diet and exercise regime that begins at 5 am every day and sees them have their last meal at noon.

Both eat a wholly vegan diet that strictly adheres to a 2,000-calorie limit with no junk food at any time.

Sleep is hugely important to the pair who both get two hours of deep sleep, two hours REM and awake for less than 30 minutes, according to the plan Johnson shared on social media.

He calls it how to “build a family culture of health and hard work.”

Johnson has been criticised for giving Talmage a “prison routine with more blood tests” as he spends $2 million a year on his health alone with the goal of reversing ageing and preventing death.

Other aspects of his routine include red light therapy, the application of seven skin creams, rinsing his teeth with tea tree oil, and regular MRIs, ultrasounds, blood tests, and colonoscopies.

Despite the criticism, and claims by many that Johnson is missing out on life, recent testing on his body suggests he has reduced his biological age by five years.

He has also significantly slowed down the pace of ageing in his cells.

Katie Price fuels ‘split’ rumours with JJ as pair ‘act frosty and keep their distance’ at bash – despite ‘cosy’ snaps

KATIE Price fuelled rumours she and boyfriend JJ Slater are on the rocks as the pair attended a showbiz bash last night.

The former glamour model, 46, and MAFS UK star JJ, 32, recently sparked speculation their relationship was over after it was reported they spent Christmas apart.

Last night Katie and JJ attempted to put on a united front as they headed out together for the Geordie Shore series launch.

But The Sun can revealed that, despite putting on a show for the cameras, the couple were “frosty” with each other and spent most of the night apart.

An insider told us: “Katie and JJ arrived separately to Geordie Shore launch and didn’t speak at all for a few hours.

“They were with their own friends on separate sides of the room and were really frosty with each other.

“They did finally speak for about five minutes later in the night, took a few pictures together and then left. It was all very bizarre and it’s clear that they aren’t at their best right now.

“They are clearly trying to make things work in some way and haven’t called it quits yet, but the signs don’t look good.”

A rep for Katie told The Sun: “They are 100% still together.”

Mum-of-five Katie confirmed her relationship with JJ in February last year following weeks of speculation.

She shared a loved-up snap on Instagram and added: “They say things happen for a reason, the unexpected happened. Fate. Ticks every box.

“@johnjoeslater you have proved to me you are a real gentleman and completely accept me for me.”

However they raised eyebrows over the festive period when Katie chose to spend with with close pal Kerry Katona.

And JJ posted a picture of his Christmas celebrations with his family – with Katie noticeably absent.

The couple reunited days later as Katie revealed they were getting Botox together.

The flames are now creeping in on the Rose Bowl, which is one of college football’s most iconic venues that also hosted the 1994 World Cup final.

According to the Associated Press, new evacuation warnings have been issued in Pasadena and include the 90,000-capacity venue.

The same source reported at least four separate blazes are burning from the Pacific Coast inland to Pasadena

Thousands of firefighters are already battling the flames around the area.

The Los Angeles Fire Department put out a plea for off-duty firefighters to help.

However, weather conditions were too windy for firefighting aircrafts to fly.

This has hampered the bid to extinguish the wildfires and fire officials are hoping to get the flights up soon.

The Rose Bowl has hosted five Super Bowls – the third highest number played at a single venue.

And that is where Italy and Brazil faced off in their famous World Cup final 21 years ago.

The game ended in a goalless draw and the winner was decided in a penalty shootout.

That was when Roberto Baggio famously fired the ball over the crossbar and Brazil were declared the winners.

Man, 53, arrested after wife, stepchildren & brother-in-law killed by ‘rat poison laced rice dinner’

A 53-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested in connection with the tragic deaths of his wife, stepchildren and brother-in-law after they were poisoned while having a New Year’s Day meal.

Francisco Pereira was taken into custody on Wednesday morning in Parnaiba, Brazil, just a week after he allegedly contaminated the family’s rice.

Police reportedly said that tests showed leftover rice the family had consumed contained a pesticide used to kill rats and other rodents[/caption]

Pereira was held this morning on suspicion of killing one-year-old Igno Davi da Silva, his three-year-old sister Lauane, his 32-year-old partner Francisca Maria da Silva and Francisca Maria’s 18-year-old brother Manoel.

The four victims died over seven days after eating a New Years Day rice and beans dish laced with rat poison.

Detectives in Parnaiba in the north-east Brazilian state of Piaui confirmed earlier this week they had launched a murder probe and said they believed someone put a pesticide used to kill rodents in the rice deliberately which Francisca and eight relatives including her partner ate with donated fish.

The 53-year-old suspect was also hospitalised briefly before being discharged.

Lauane’s four-year-old sister is still serious in hospital in Teresina near Parnaiba.

Cops revealed that the suspect’s chilling motivation may have been Pereira having anger towards his wife and her two children.

Piauí Civil Police chief Abimael Silva said at a press conference following the arrest: “He revealed, as did his stepdaughters, that the relationship between them was troubled, to say the least.

“He did not speak to any of his wife’s children and had a specific feeling of hatred towards Francisca Maria, the children’s mother.

“This feeling of hatred was so great that even with her on her deathbed, he couldn’t hide it in his statement.

“He said that when he looked at her he felt disgust and anger. These are his words in his statement.”
