Rangers cult hero shares exciting baby news with glam influencer Wag as friends and family say ‘best start to 2025’

ANDY HALLIDAY and his wife Jilly have revealed they are expecting a baby in 2025.

The Motherwell midfielder, who previously starred for Hearts and Rangers, appeared in a video on social media shared by Wag Jilly Halliday (née Cross).

Halliday has had quite the couple of weeks, from being almost smothered by Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers as he complimented him on his radio work to his team suffering from some inconsistencies at the hands of referees.

Add to that the news he will become a dad for the first time this year, it’s fair to say it’s been some start to 2025 for him.

Influencer Jilly, who founded the Dula brand in May 2021, revealed why she snubbed a flashy wedding last year as the couple tied the knot.

A boyhood Rangers fan, Halliday achieved cult hero status whilst at Ibrox and he had his chant belted out at their wedding day which took place in July last year.

Now they’ve taken the next step and are looking forward to building a family together.

Jilly, who goes by the name Jilly Isabella on social media, posted a video of the pair revealing the news on her Instagram account.

In the clip she dons a ‘mother’ cap and shows off her soon-to-be-growing bump.

She is then joined by her footie star beau who comes in wearing a matching ‘father’ cap and they share a kiss and some laughs together for the camera.

In the caption she simply wrote “having a baby x” and then came floods of comments and well-wishes.

Gers icon Peter Lovenkrands was one of the first to respond. He said: “Congratulations guys!!”

Replies continued to come in from friends and family.

Lauren Watson said: “Ahhhhhh so thrilled congratulations guys.”

Hollie Flynn commented: “I just GASPED OMG.”

Charley Marlowe said: “This is the best start to 2025 oh my friggin’ days.”

Meanwhile Georgia White replied: “Mum suits you.”

Other comments mentioned a “mini Halliday” while some pals let on that they already knew about the news.

She shared a TikTok video showing what it’s like getting ready as a “woman with thin and balding hair” and revealed her “favourite” £14.95 hair product, which she says she “cannot get through the day without.”

The product? BOLDIFY hairline powder instantly conceals hair loss, root touch up hair powder, a root cover-up and stain-proof formula that works for both women and men.

It’s available on Amazon and has become her go-to solution.

Speaking to camera, she says: “This is my daily routine, and I cannot get through the day without my favourite product, Boldify.

“I’ve already put on my moisturiser and makeup, so now I’ll show you how I apply Boldify.

I love this hair powder so much because it has given me back my confidence.

“Going out in the world with thin and balding hair, and having everyone look at your scalp when they’re talking to you, is not fun.

“I don’t know how I managed every day without this product. I’ve tried other products, but none have satisfied me as much as Boldify.”

She applies it using the sponge that is provided, and dabs the black powder onto her scalp.

According to the Amazon website, the product will give “instant coverage” and even has a “48-hour guarantee.”

The product “locks on until you shampoo.”

June continues: “Whether it’s hot outside or I’m working out and sweating, this does not run. I absolutely love it.

“I even went underwater in a pool, came up, and nothing was running down my head. I feel safe and secure knowing that this is giving me amazing coverage.

“It’s given me my confidence back, and I can absolutely trust this product 100%.”

Talking to her 42,000 followers, she says: “Like me, many of you cannot afford wigs, which have become astronomical in price.

“But for the price of Boldify, you get your confidence back. Just look at me – you wouldn’t even know that I have thin, balding hair.

“I absolutely love this product.”

Many people praised June for sharing her personal life story, and also thanked her for her video in the comments section.

One wrote: “I lost 85% of my hair after COVID about killed me, literally! It has grown back, but now has some thinning on top. This is a lifesaver!”

Hair re-growth FAQs

Anabel Kingsley, Consultant Trichologist and Brand President at Philip Kingsley spoke exclusively to Fabulous.

How long does it take for hair to grow back?

Hair grows, on average, half an inch a month. You cannot speed this up.

Do rosemary oil and scalp massages work?

Oils do not promote hair growth. In terms of rosemary oil, the current trend stems from one small study carried out on 50 men in 2015. No women were involved, and the study compared the effects of 2 per cent minoxidil to Rosemary oil. 2 per cent minoxidil doesn’t do much for
male pattern hair loss anyway, so the results were not very impressive.  Oils do serve a purpose in conditioning hair treatments though. They help add shine and smooth the hair cuticle to lock-in moisture and improve combability.  Scalp massages alone won’t cure hair loss, but it can help relax you, aid in lymphatic drainage, exfoliate and help topicals penetrate.

Are there any products or foods/vitamins you recommend someone using or eating to help with hair regrowth?

To support healthy hair regrowth, if you are experiencing hair thinning we’d recommend our Density Preserving Scalp Drops clinically proven to help slow hair loss with continued daily use within three months.

Telogen effluvium (hair shedding) due to nutritional deficiencies can often be simply treated with changes to your diet, and nutritional supplements such as our specially formulated Density Healthy Hair Complex and Density Amino Acid Booster.

Iron and Ferritin (stored iron) in red meat, dried apricots and dark, leafy greens. Vitamin B12 in animal products and fortified plant-based foods. Protein from oily fish, lean meat, cottage cheese, tofu, nuts, chickpeas, and beans.

However, there may be an underlying cause for their hair loss and rather than this being masked by using an off-the-shelf product, they should be encouraged to seek the advice of a specialist such as a Trichologist.

A second added: “I’ve been struggling with hair loss since I was 14.

“I came to find out that I was finally diagnosed with androgenetic alopecia and I came across this product last year and I’m obsessed. It does what it needs!”

And a third said: “I keep coming back to this post cause it’s amazing what this product does.

“I have a thinning spot and I am so self conscious of it. I am buying this asap!”

Hairstyles that are kind to your locks

  1. Loose Braids: Opt for loose, soft braids rather than tight ones to minimise tension on the scalp and reduce breakage.
  2. Low Ponytail: A low ponytail is less stressful on your hair compared to high, tight ponytails. Use a fabric-covered hair tie to avoid snagging.
  3. Messy Bun: A relaxed, messy bun can be both stylish and kind to your hair. Avoid pulling your hair too tightly and use gentle hair ties.
  4. Soft Waves: Embrace your natural texture or use heatless methods to create soft waves, reducing the need for damaging heat styling tools.
  5. Half-Up, Half-Down: This style keeps some hair pulled back while leaving the rest down, reducing the strain on your scalp.
  6. Headbands and Scarves: Using headbands or scarves can keep hair out of your face without causing damage, and they can be quite fashionable.
  7. Loose Plaits for Sleeping: Before bed, loosely plait your hair to prevent tangles and breakage overnight.
