Not only can it help stop condensation forming on windows – which can lead to mould it will also dry your clothes in no time.

B&Q bosses say: “This electric appliance efficiently reduces excess moisture, promoting a healthier environment while saving energy.”

The dehumidifier costs just 35p to run for an hour – a considerable difference from running the heating for an hour which will cost £1.50.

It comes with a 2.4 litre sized tank to remove excess moisture in the home – including your wet laundry.

The post went viral on the Facebook page, Extreme Couponing And Bargains UK, where it received praise from members of the group.

One person wrote: “If you dry clothes indoors that moisture stays indoors encouraging damp.

“These dehumidifiers collect that moisture in a tank drying clothing faster and removing that damp from the room mine is brilliant especially now the cold damp weather forces windows to be closed.

“Bought 2 and they work great. Washing dried quickly,” penned a third.

More winter laundry tips

Tackling laundry in the winter can be a challenge, but these handy tips can help you stay on top of it:

  • Use a Dehumidifier: Place a dehumidifier in your drying area to speed up the drying process and prevent dampness.
  • Spin Cycle Boost: Run an extra spin cycle on your washing machine to remove excess water from clothes, reducing drying time.
  • Indoor Drying Rack: Invest in a good-quality indoor drying rack and position it near a radiator or in a well-ventilated room.
  • Tumble Dryer Balls: Add tumble dryer balls to your dryer to help clothes dry faster and reduce static cling.
  • Space-Saving Hangers: Use space-saving hangers or a retractable washing line to maximise indoor drying space.
  • Microfibre Towels: Lay microfibre towels over your drying rack to absorb extra moisture from hanging clothes.
  • Partially Dry Outside: On dry days, hang clothes outside for a short period before bringing them in to finish drying.

These hacks can help you keep your laundry routine efficient and your clothes fresh, even during the colder months.

Meanwhile a fourth said: “In the basket!”

“We have this one it’s fab, worth its weight in gold… tempted to get another in case it breaks in time,” claimed a fifth.

Someone else added: “I had this, it’s good. Lasted me about 3 years before it packed in! It dries washing brilliantly.”

This mum-of-four swears by collagen to help her feel her best
ITV

The 38-year-old mum-of-four, who left viewers wowed with her flawless skin and ‘beautiful’ appearance in the I’m A Celebrity 2024 camp, swears by collagen to maintain her ‘flawless’ skin and overall health.

Collagen, which we naturally produce, is essential for our skin, bones, hair and nails.

However, production starts to slow down when we approach our thirties.

As a result, many people start supplementing around this time for various health reasons, primarily to protect their skin’s smoothness.

A lack of collagen can lead to fine lines and wrinkles, as skin loses elasticity and hydration.

Not only this, but collagen is also crucial for our nails and hair too, so boosting your levels could result in stronger nails and more resilient locks.

Research has shown that the benefits of collagen extend beyond skin health and even suggest a correlation between collagen and joint health.

Experts found that lower levels of collagen could increase the risk of conditions like osteoarthritis, with some sufferers claiming that taking the supplement actually helped their existing pains.

Although you can enhance your collagen intake through dietary changes, such as incorporating more fish, eggs, and bone broth into your meals, you can also opt for supplements in pill or powder form to increase your intake.

Coleen, who is married to footballing legend Wayne Rooney, 39, swears by marine collagen power from Applied Nutrition.

In one of her last social media posts before going down under, the star shared her thoughts on the effective supplement, which is from wild caught fish.

Revealing all on Instagram to her one million followers, she wrote: “Taking small steps to look after myself has made such a difference lately.

I love that it’s so simple to add in, whether it’s my morning coffee or just with water

Coleen Rooney

“Adding @appliednutrition’s collagen to my daily routine has been one of those little things that’s really helped me feel my best.

“It’s all about supporting what’s already there — skin, hair, joints…all the things that keep us feeling healthy.

What is Collagen?

  • Collagen is the most abundant protein in the human body and provides strength and structure to the skin and muscles
  • It plays a significant role in maintaining skin elasticity and hydration
  • As we age, collagen production decreases, leading to wrinkles, sagging skin and decreased skin firmness
  • Collagen production starts to dwindle in our mid-to-late 20s and early 30s. By 40, it has dropped dramatically

It’s important to note that while collagen-based skincare products may offer benefits, their effectiveness can hugely vary.

Some experts suggest that topical application of collagen may have limited effectiveness compared to other skincare ingredients that stimulate collagen production within the skin.

“I love that it’s so simple to add in, whether it’s my morning coffee or just with water.

“Just wanted to share in case it inspires you to add a bit of extra self-care into your own routine.”

Coleen Rooney's surprising bad habit

COLEEN Rooney has revealed the embarrassing habit hubby Wayne reckons will annoy her I’m A celebrity campmates.

She’s usually preened and perfect – but the WAG has confessed she snores.

Coleen said: “I didn’t think I snored, but Wayne says I snore.

“Not continuously though – just every now and again.

“I have been in the public eye for over 20 years now and people take what they want from it.

“I do think people will get a better idea of what kind of person I am.”

And whilst a 300g tub of the stuff has currently been reduced down to just £20 from Holland & Barrett, you’ll get 25 scoops in each tub, working out at just 8p per serving, making it incredibly cost effective.

Consuming collagen, which can be mixed in hot or cold liquids, may help maintain your skin’s elasticity, reducing the likelihood of sagging or loose skin.

And whilst Botox can range between £100 and £350 a go, it appears that taking collagen is a much more affordable way to age gracefully.

While there’s no blood test to measure collagen levels, signs of decreasing collagen include wrinkles, drooping skin, or hollowing around the eyes and face.
