THREE Aussie rugby heroes were gobsmacked after a violent skirmish with youngsters in Nando’s – sparked by one man yelling: “Where’s the f*****g medium sauce?”
Drew Mitchell told how he got punched on a “cheeky” trip to a Cardiff restaurant with fellow ex-Wallabies Adam Ashley-Cooper and Matt Giteau.

The trio could hardly believe their bizarre experience on what they thought would be a peaceful day watching England v South Africa then New Zealand v France game – ahead of Wales vs Australia.
They saw, when they asked one lad in the angry exchange how old he was, he flexed his muscles and roared: “I’m 16!”
The athletic threesome revealed their unexpected encounter in the Welsh capital on the For The Love Of Rugby podcast, hosted by England’s record-appearance maker Ben Youngs.
Mitchell piqued Youngs’ interest by revealing: “It was a tough train trip this morning from Cardiff.”
The 127-cap presenter then asked: “Did something happen in Nando’s when you first arrived?” – with all three replying: “Oh, yeah.”
Mitchell, 40, said: “So, Saturday night we watched England v South Africa. We just thought we’ll go for a cheeky Nando’s before the New Zealand v France game.
“I was lining up and the restaurant was completely packed. This bloke just came over the side and said, ‘where’s the f*****g medium sauce?’
“I was like, ‘mate, you alright? There’s a line here’. And he goes, ‘what? F*** off, mate. Where’s the medium sauce?’
“I said, ‘No, mate. F*** off’. Then it kicked off a little bit. You know one of those little chavs getting all big.
“He was a pretty small looking dude. I’m looking at him, and then I get clocked from the side by his little mate. And then he started to really kick off.”
Ashley-Cooper, also 40, interjected: “He got you clean” Ashley-Cooper and added. “I said, ‘how old are you?’ He goes, ‘I’m 16!’ [flexes arms].”
From there the tale became even more crazy, according to Mitchell.
He said : “All the security from the bar we were in – Boom Battle Bar [in the Brewery Quarter] – came in. There were like six security guards.
“They kicked these three blokes out, and they were like, ‘do you want us to go to the cops?’ I was like, ‘mate, it’s fine. Just make sure they’re not outside just waiting to shank us when we walk out’.”
Giteau, 42, then told the podcast: “You did very well. I was like, ‘Drew, we don’t need this’. We just got here, you know what I mean – in the papers that he’s ended up flogging a 16-year-old.”
Ashley-Cooper added: “And it’s a family restaurant!”
To which Youngs then joked: “I love how he was scared of a 16-year-old waiting for him outside.”
Unfortunately for Wales – but to the joy of the Oz trio – then Wallabies then handed out a painful beating: a record 11th defeat in a row for the Dragons, by 50-22.

However, because Amazon’s deal with England’s top flight set to expire soon, his final game commentating for UK audiences is quickly approaching.
Tyldesley’s final Prem match for the channel could be Brighton‘s clash with Brentford during the Christmas period.
Speaking on the Anfield Wrap podcast, he explained: “What actually could be the final game I ever commentate for UK television is Brighton-Brentford. That won’t be dull.
“That’s on 27 December. Amazon Prime, this is their final year, so the Premier League going forward is going back to a two-man cartel of Sky and TNT.”
Amazon did not enter the running for Prem broadcast rights from 2025-26 onwards.
Instead, Sky Sports and TNT Sports won the process and will continue sharing the rights.
FOOTBALL FREE BETS AND SIGN UP DEALS
After announcing his new job with CBS back in July, Tyldesley explained: “All I can do is keeping reviewing my own standards, keep making myself available.
“If someone like CBS – who have given me a four-year contract to cover Champions League for the USA – show that sort of confidence in me then I can only assure you I will repay that faith by working bloody hard and trying to be as good as I can be.”

The sign, which gives directions to Santa’s workshop, elf village, and reindeer stables, was originally priced at £6.99 but was reduced to just £2.99.
However, stunned shoppers found that the sign, which read “Welcome to the North Pole,” was missing the ‘e’ in “the.”
Now, shoppers have discovered another issue with a different Christmas product.
Taking to the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, one proud shopper shared their “gorgeous little glass bottles with (a) straw” that cost 75p.
She posted a picture of them and wrote, “Perfect for bedtime milk with Christmas jammies.
“And they look fab on my hot chocolate station.”
The shopper bought one Santa Claus-themed bottle in red and another in a green elf theme but didn’t realise the mistake until eagle-eyed festive fans pointed it out.
On the green bottle, it correctly reads: “I’m on the nice list.”
But on the red bottle, which is supposed to read “Jingle all the way,” it instead reads “Jinlgle all the way.”
One Facebook commenter wrote: “You do know JINGLE is spelt incorrectly on the red Santa bottles.
“I told a member of staff and they left them on the shelves.”
Another added: “Spelt jingle wrong, that’s why they’re cheap.”
A third said, “I bought them and didn’t even notice the spelling.”
A fourth wrote: “On the plus side, you get to see how observant the kids are. I think they are great.”
