6 days agoLatest NewsComments Off on Louis Walsh reveals what he thinks about Ronan Keating months after controversial Celeb Big Brother rant on Boyzone star
MUSIC mogul Louis Walsh has said he has “nothing against” Ronan Keating, just months after calling him a p***k on national TV.
Walsh was the manager for Boyzone and later for a while was also Ronan’s manager when he went solo.
But the pair had a falling out and Ronan fired him.
He has now said he didn’t mean it, and it was a “panto” answer.
Louis said: “I think he’s good, I think he’s a great hustler.
“I think as an artist he’s good, very ambitious and there’s nothing he won’t do – radio, TV, acting, he will do it and I love that about him, but he should just be him and just sing a certain type of songs, the country songs.”
Louis was speaking on Nicky Byrne’s podcast, who suggested they were both still hurt by the falling out.
He quickly dismissed this and said: “No, over it, honestly. Life’s too short, I moved on a long time ago.
“It was fun, it wasn’t even for the money, the success was great.”
Asked if he would answer a phone call from Ronan, Louis said: “He won’t ring, Ronan is too proud.”
He added: “I wouldn’t call him, he’d have to call me. I’ve nothing against him, I think he’s a great worker, I think he’ll do well, I think he’ll still do well, he’s doing well in Germany. He tried radio, tried TV, he’ll try anything. He’s getting on a bit.
“It’s kind of in Jason Donovan territory so I won’t…. You meet a certain age and you have a certain audience – how do you grow that audience?”
In relation to the swear word TV rant, Louis said: “I did say that, but it’s kind of panto, it wasn’t meant in a bad way. I didn’t know they were going to air it.”
Asked if he regrets it, Louis stated: “Probably, maybe it was a mistake. I just said it, it wasn’t meant out of badness and I was there for a reason, to say things I shouldn’t say, that was my role and I knew they wanted me because they really begged me to do that show.
“I didn’t want to do it and eventually they made me an offer I couldn’t refuse so I knew I had to deliver, I had to slag off a few people.
“I wouldn’t apologise. It wasn’t meant badly. Life’s too short, let’s get on with it, it’s over and done.”
HEALTH CONDITION
On CBB, Louis revealed that he was diagnosed with Waldenstrom, a rare type of blood cancer.
He revealed to Nicky that the cancer wasn’t caught at first as it’s so rare.
He added that it was only found after he attended the Mater hospital complaining of being tired, which he put down to his work on the X Factor.
Louis explained: “I’m fine now. It’s maintenance, as Sharon Osbourne said to me. I did have a thing called Waldenstrom cancer, it’s a blood cancer and I didn’t realise until I went to the Mater Private, they checked me out and I was told it’s fine, manageable, and I’m in remission and I’m feeling good.
‘SCARY’
“It’s so scary but nowadays, [with] modern medicine they can do everything. Mater Private – fantastic nurses, doctors – they’re the real stars. They work tirelessly and they help everybody and they cure people. I’m fixed and I’m fine, I’m loving life again.”
He added that it took him a while to get back on his feet after suffering with the illness as he “didn’t know what to do”.

ONE of the most dangerous cities in the world has erupted into chaos again with vigilante locals seen chopping up the bodies of mobsters.
Haiti’s feared warlord Jimmy “Barbecue” Chérizier has vowed to launch a revolution in the Caribbean country as he prepares his gang for a terrifying coup.

Over 150 people have been killed in the capital Port-au-Prince in the past week with violence continuing the plague the nation.
The roads are said to be littered with burnt corpses after vigilantes snapped back at Barbecue’s men and sliced them up before dumping their bodies in bonfires.
Vengeful residents and police officers in the suburb of Pétion-Ville reportedly stormed the streets hunting down members of the tyrant’s gang.
Around 28 of them were captured and ruthlessly taken out in the overnight mission, local media reported.
Pétion-Ville has been at the heart of the trouble ever since Barbecue attempted his coup as he launched a bid to take over the government.
He has voiced his ambitions to become president one day ever since the then-President of Haiti, Jovenal Moise, was assassinated by 28 gunmen as he slept.
He reignited serious fears over the safety of officials again on Tuesday as he threatened to hunt down any politician hiding out in the capital.
The warlord sent out a chilling social media post saying his men plan on going door-to-door to at very hotel.
He wrote: “If we can’t take the hotel, if I can’t find the owner of the hotel, then the employees of the hotel can pay.”
He also demanded the resignation of the entire ruling Transitional Presidential Council.
It is made up of nine people who have been chosen to govern Haiti in the absence of a president.
Following on the public revenge attack on the gang, the dozens of remaining members set about causing more havoc as the week dragged on.
Over 120 people have died since with over half of them being due to “exchanges of fire between gang members and police”, according to the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights.
Another 92 have been badly injured, the UN added.
Haitian armed groups are now said to control at least 80 per cent of Port-au-Prince and appear to be hellbent on keeping control of the capital.
Volker Türk, the UN high commissioner for human rights, made a devastating declaration today saying: “Port-au-Prince’s estimated four million people are practically being held hostage as gangs now control all the main roads in and out of the capital.
“The latest upsurge in violence in Haiti’s capital is a harbinger of worse to come.
“The gang violence must be promptly halted. Haiti must not be allowed to descend further into chaos.”

Since then, thugs have been setting government buildings alight and burning down police stations.
As thousands have been slaughtered, assaulted, abused and severely threatened as unprecedented levels of criminality continue to overwhelm the country.
The violence has exacerbated an already grim humanitarian situation, with warnings of famine, malnutrition and the collapse of basic services.
Who is Barbecue?
Barbecue – who is rumoured to have earned his nickname for setting his victims on fire – envisions himself as a “revolutionary”, a self-professed “man of the people”.
His methods involve the killing, maiming and extorting of anyone unlucky enough to fall within his turf – turning every day into a constant battle for survival for residents.
The fired cop turned warlord has been taking to the streets with a renewed vengeance and a plan to overthrow the government.
He is currently sanctioned by the UK and its allies for “engaging in acts threatening the peace, security and stability of Haiti”.
And his influence is fast increasing as the country spirals into further turmoil sparked by the 2021 assassination of the country’s Prime Minister Jovenal Moïse.
Ever since, a security vacuum opened up and Barbecue has been greedily exploiting it, taking over territory and expanding his coalition with other gangs to wage further war.
G9 has also been responsible for repeatedly cutting Haiti off from its much-needed fuel supply by taking its main oil terminal hostage.
In a savage display of strength, Barbecue paralysed the country several times by preventing the distribution of food, water and vital medicines, plunging it into a deeper humanitarian crisis.
Barbecue’s criminal career dates back to his time as a police officer, InSight Crime reports.
He participated in an anti-gang operation in 2017, leading to the extrajudicial killing of nine civilians.
In 2018, he led a group of seven gangs in a massacre in La Saline, Haiti’s worst massacre in over a decade.
Barbecue was then fired from the police force and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
In 2019, he participated in a four-day attack across Port-au-Prince’s Bel-Air neighborhood, killing at least 24 people.

Grease hit screens almost 46 years ago[/caption]
Kelly, who celebrated his 68th birthday this week, played the hunky blonde student at Rydell High School, who was also the youngest member of the T-Birds.
Kelly, who looks very different from his Putzie role was spotted this week in California the day after his big day.
Having just celebrated his birthday, Kelly was seen on Monday arriving at a voice-over studio in Glendale.
Dressed in blue denim jeans, some sneakers, and a pink long-sleeved shirt, the actor also donned some thin-framed glasses and held onto a notebook.
In the hit romance flick, Kelly’s character Putzie has a girlfriend called Jan.
Heading out on a date to Frosty Palace, Putzie was amazed that Jan didn’t make him pay for a lot of food and even branded her a cheap date.

Worried that he had upset his girlfriend, Putzie tried to apologise but she had taken the compliment as intended and then invited him to her place for some of her mum’s pie.
Putzie was the one at Thunder Road who accidentally injured fellow T-Bird Kenickie in the head with the car door.
‘GREASE CAST IS AN EXTENDED FAMILY’
Speaking about starring in Grease, Kelly previously told Snakkle, “It’s a great thing to be a part of that phenomenon.
“It’s oft-repeated, but none of us really had any idea that it would be as successful and pervasive as it is,” he said.
“So it’s always a delight and a surprise when it seems to keep going eternally.”
He added, “But the real source of joy for those of us who did it is the fact that we keep in relatively regular contact.
“It’s an extended family. We give each other a lot of support. Of course, we’ve lost a few.”
STILL IN THE WORLD OF SHOWBIZ
Since his role in Grease, Kelly has starred in several other flicks and even become a voice director for Disney Television Animation.
Grease stars remembered
IT has been over 45 years since the release of hit musical film Grease, which began its decades-long tenure of dazzling fans in 1978.

After falling ill with pneumonia, Jeff Conaway – Danny’s best pal Kenickie in the movie – sadly passed away in 2011.
The same year, Annette Charles, who played Cha Cha, lost her battle with cancer.
In 1993, Dennis C. Stewart, who played rebel Leo, was diagnosed with HIV and passed away from AIDS in 1994.
The actor is also a screenwriter for several cartoons, and he even wrote the feature film All Dogs Go to Heaven 2 which came out in 1996.
The original T-Bird has also contributed to the production of a number of major films, including Back to the Future and The Pink Panther TV series.
In more recent years he has worked as a dialogue director on TV shows The Lion Guard, Woody Woodpecker, Star vs. the Forces of Evil, and Mickey and the Roadster Racers.
