A NEW holiday resort has been given approval to open in the UK – near a much-loved beach.
The £60million Green Ridge resort will open near Newquay in Cornwall, which is famed for it’s beautiful beach.
The resort will have 400 lodges across 70 acres of land.
On-site will be a swimmingpool and indoor spa area, with treatments on offer to guests.
A waterpark and splash park will be on-site also, as well as playgrounds.
An indoor activity centre as well as outdoor events, walking trails and lakes will be part of the park.
Restaurants, shops and a bar and café will also open.
Despite some opposition, the park has been given approval to open.
Councillor Rob Nolan told local media: “Tourism is changing in Cornwall and big hotels are closing down.”
While he said he “understood” concerns of locals, he added there “was a need for it”.
The resort is expected to generate £26million a year, with 200 jobs created.
Councillor Phil Seeva added: “I have no doubt that people coming on holiday to a premium campsite will spend money in Cornwall.
“On balance I support this.”
The resort would open near the village of Colan, which is a short drive to Newquay Beach.
Earlier this year Newquay was named the best UK holiday hotspot by Go Outdoors.
Looking at hotels, activities, local transport and weather, the Cornish town came out on top.
Also in Newquay is Fistral Beach, often named one of the best in Europe.
The long stretch of sand is also home to the annual Boardmasters Festival.
The Sun’s Wally Downe’s Jr recently visited Newquay, saying: “Twenty years ago, Newquay was the place all the coolest kids at my school used to go for the best underage parties.
“But the Cornish surf spot is not so much of a party place these days.
“Stables pizza restaurant on Fistral Beach might be the most beautifully placed UK restaurant I have ever enjoyed.
“We could have easily been in Miami on the scorching June evening we visited and the sea is so close you could sling your pizza crusts in there.”
It caused the site to CRASH while £16.3m was made through ticket sales alone as 72,000 packed into the AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
Paul has improved to 11-1 and the 27-year-old has teased sensationally fighting Mexican legend Canelo Alvarez, 34, next year.
His business partner Nakisa Bidarian told Ariel Helwani: “Jake Paul doesn’t need Canelo from a fan perspective nor from a belt perspective because they are not going to fight for the belts Canelo holds.

ONE mum has shared the shock of her life after waking up with no memory of giving birth to triplets.
Marisa Christie, a 30-year-old mum from Texas, US, was pronounced clinically dead for nearly an hour after suffering a rare birth complication known as amniotic fluid embolism (AFE).
One mum has shared her incredible story of how she was pronounced clinically dead – before waking up and realising she’d given birth to triplets[/caption]
AFE occurs when amniotic fluid, which contains fetal cells and tissue, enters a pregnant person’s bloodstream and causes a severe allergic reaction.
The complication can cause breathing problems, cardiac arrest, excessive bleeding, and a rapid decline in the mother’s health – which can often be fatal.
For Marisa, who had been at the hospital for a planned cesarean, things seemed normal – until she suddenly turned grey.
”The doctors had pulled all three (babies) out. Actually, they were resting them on my stomach to do a delayed cord clamping.
”My arms flew up, and that was when my heart stopped,” she shared the incredible story with Today.
Upon awakening, her partner Dylan broke the wonderful news of their healthy triplets who had joined their son, four.
Marisa was overwhelmed: “I was absolutely terrified… How could I not remember having my babies?”
The loved-up pair had been trying for another kid for a couple of years and had started using an ovulation trigger shot.
After Marisa had her first ultrasound, the possibility of twins or even triplets was suggested.
“They were like, ‘We’re pretty sure it’s twins. There might be a third one hiding,'” Marisa recalled, admitting she “cried most of that month” at the thought of raising four kids.
Unfortunately, the pregnancy journey was a bumpy ride, as Marisa was often feeling “very sick”.
The US-based couple soon discovered that one of their triplets had a twin who hadn’t developed, requiring an in-womb procedure, reported The Mirror.
Marisa revealed: “Our baby C was sharing a sack with a twin but that twin never got a heartbeat,” and, sadly, the doctors had to remove the remains because the reduced blood flow “was putting too much stress on baby C’s heart.”
At 33 weeks, Marisa and her husband arrived at Memorial Hermann the Woodlands Medical Center North of Houston for a planned C-section, where Dr Amber Samuel, her maternal-fetal medicine physician, successfully delivered the three babies.
However, Dr Ricardo Mora, the anesthesiologist, noticed that Marisa was having seizures ans was turning ”essentially grey”.
Describing the situation as “pretty catastrophic”, Dr Mora, who knew something ”terrible” had just happened, said such cases are “80%, 85% fatal”.
Pregnancy Myths explained
There are a lot of strange myths around pregnancy - and some of them may surprise you...
Marisa was bleeding profusely, and doctors had to rush to replace her blood as Dr Samuel tried to stem the flow by closing up the uterus.
About an hour after her had heart stopped beating, the mum was hooked up to an ECMO machine, which takes over the functions of the heart and lungs to aid recovery.
“She essentially lost what we consider her whole blood volume. We replaced her blood volume. So, for 45 minutes, she was clinically dead,” recalled Dr Mora.
While in intensive care, Marisa suffered from uncontrolled bleeding from her uterus, which led her to make the decision to remove it.
After the operation, which was very risky, the mother remained unconscious for a week under sedation, with Dr Mora visiting her on a regular basis, in hopes to see signs of improvement.
He stated: “You can do the best CPR in the world, but if you don’t get enough blood to the brain, essentially they are alive but with brain damage. I needed her to live to raise her kids. So, it was a personal thing for me.”
Fortunately, the 30-year-old began to show signs of recovery and was then taken off the breathing machine and ECMO.
But, upon waking up, Marisa found herself feeling disoriented and as if she had experienced a vivid dream throughout her pregnancy.
Meeting her newborns – named Charlotte, Kendall and Collins – for the first time felt “very surreal”.
“I remember thinking, ‘I don’t know these babies. This is very strange. They feel like they’re not real. They feel like they’re not mine. They were already over a week old by the time I had met them. … It took a little bit to get that connection with them,” Marisa bravely admitted.
However, the healthy triplets recognised their hero mum as hospital staff had placed blankets on Marisa while she was in intensive care so they could get used to her scent.
Once Marisa could finally return home, the mum-of-four spent most of her time recovering in a recliner in their living room, explaining that her core was ”completely obliterated” and she could barely move.
Now, this proud mum – whose wounds had healed nine weeks after giving birth – has embarked on a mission to spread awareness about Amniotic Fluid Embolism (AFE) to help other parents.
“It’s rare, but it does happen. There were so many miracles that led up to me living instead of dying and we’re grateful.”

KATIE Radford has revealed she’s moved out of her mum and dad’s Morecambe home, just months after her boyfriend Connor moved in.
The 21-year-old announced the news on her Instagram Stories on Thursday night, after encouraging fans to ask her questions.
Katie Radford has revealed she’s moved out of her family’s Morecambe mansion[/caption]
Her decision came after boyfriend Connor moved IN to the property, after showing Noel and Sue he’s the perfect housemate[/caption]
But the parents of 22 admitted it was a hard decision to make[/caption]
But they eventually agreed to let Connor move in[/caption]
Katie, who became a new mum when she gave birth to son Ronnie earlier this month, had been seen pleading with Sue and Noel to allow Connor to move into their ‘millionaire mansion’ on their reality show earlier this year.
In scenes presumably filmed a few months prior, Katie promised her parents that Connor would do his bit in their home – which he proved by taking on a ‘test’ and showing his abilities in keeping things clean and tidy.
Stunned at the amount of jobs to do, Connor admitted: “There’s a lot more chores than in a normal house.”
Sue and Noel had admitted it was a “difficult decision”, given that their house is “bursting at the seams” with all the kids living there.
“It’s been a really difficult decision actually… I don’t know, it’s a bit tricky to be honest,” Noel said.
“He’s obviously been trying to prove that he can play a proper role in the house. But I’m still not sure. It’s expensive having other people in the house,” Sue agreed.
But they eventually sat Katie and Connor down to deliver the verdict.
“You are pretty good with the vacuum, so all good,” Sue told Connor, grinning.
And despite their initial concerns, Noel added: “Everyone here needs to pull their weight.
“But you’ve been working really hard to prove yourself. We like you Connor, you can move in.”
While it’s unclear exactly when Connor made the sprawling house his home, it seems it didn’t last long.
As on her Instagram Stories, when asked if she was “still living with her family”, Katie revealed that she had “moved out in September”.
The decision was presumably made by the pair ahead of welcoming their first child into the world.
Katie also opened up about her birth experience, as she admitted she’d been “terrified” about going into labour.
“I was terrified for labour with all the stories people kept telling me, but honestly I had a really good labour,” she said.
“My waters went at 11pm on the Monday and then I had him on Tuesday at 5.03pm.”
And now, she and Connor are getting to grips with parenthood by following the “3Bs” approach, as often as they can.
“Bath, bottle and bed for about 9ish – just depends how he’s been during the day,” she wrote.
Katie also revealed the names they’d been considering for their little boy if they hadn’t called him Ronnie.
“I loved the names Zaylen, Romie, Noah and Connor wanted to call him Hudson,” she shared.
And shared the other names they’d considered for Ronnie[/caption]

A STRANGER crept into a family home as they slept and sexually assaulted a ten-year-old boy in a horrifying attack.
Saqib Khan, 40, barricaded the terrified victim’s bedroom with a mattress so he could not escape.
He then sexually assaulted him and said he “loved him” before the boy screamed out.
His dad called 999 then ran out into the street in Huddersfield where he managed to flag down two passing police officers.
They burst into the bedroom and found Khan half naked, while the boy’s “hysterical” mum had collapsed.
The predator has now been jailed for six years with an extended licence period of four years after being found guilty of sexually assaulting a child under 13.
Sentencing, Judge Tom Bayliss said Khan was a “dangerous” offender who poses a high risk to the public and children.
He added: “One could only imagine the terror that family must have felt to find a stranger in their child’s bedroom.”
Leeds Crown Court heard the horror unfolded on April 20 this year as the family slept in their home.
Khan sneaked in during the dead of night to sexually assault the boy after drinking.
When the boy’s dad heard the commotion, the paedo told him he had “paid £40” and blocked him from entering.
The court heard Khan had previous convictions on his record dating back to August 2004.
As well as a jail sentence, he was made subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and will have to sign the sex offender register for life.
Detective Inspector Tal Laher of Kirklees District Police Safeguarding Unit, said: “This has been a shocking offence in which Saqib Khan put his victim and parents through what would be any family’s worst nightmare.
“There is no doubt he is a highly dangerous sexual offender, and his offending could have been even worse had he not been restrained by two police constables who saw the child’s father on the street and intervened.
“Their swift action in detaining the male while also providing care and support to a distraught family should be commended.
“We hope seeing Khan jailed today will bring some measure of comfort to his victim and family and I want to praise them for their courage in supporting the prosecution.
“Sexual offences are always investigated by specially trained detectives and with the needs of victims at the heart of each and every investigation.”
