He attended the premiere for the new series alongside a host of other famous faces at the star-studded evening in New York.

This young star’s mum starred as a leading lady opposite Timothy Dalton in the 1980s Bond spy thriller.

And his dad is known for being the heartthrob in several classic rom-coms, wooing the likes of Julia Roberts, Jennifer Lopez, Winona Ryder onscreen.

But have you guessed who his parents are yet?

The handsome looking man posing for photos at the The Museum of Modern Art, is none other than Homer James Jigme Gere, the son of US actor Richard Gere and his second ex-wife Carey Lowell.

Homer, who recently graduated from the Brown University, where he majored in psychology and visual art, attended the red carpet premiere with his dad and his wife Alejandra Silva.

His name Homer James – is a tribute to his grandfathers Homer Gere and James Lowell and his middle name Jigme means “fearless” in Tibetan – a nod to Richard’s Buddhism.

Carey played Bond girl Pam Bouvier in License To Kill in 1989 – which was Timothy Dalton’s second and final stint as 007.

She then landed the role as Jamie Ross Law & Order from 1996 to 2001, before returning again in 2022.

Hollywood icon Richard has starred in a string of hit movies – from Pretty Woman in 1990 alongside Julia Roberts to Shall We Dance? with pop sensation Jennifer Lopez.

In 2013, Richard and Carey decided to split after 11 years of marriage.

In 2020, Richard welcomed his latest child into the world at the grand old age of 71.

At the time, he announced that he and wife Alejandra had welcomed a baby boy.

This is their second child as they had their first son, Alexander, in February 2019.

Richard is also step-dad to Alejandra’s eight-year-old son Albert, from her first marriage.

Richard married Spanish activist Alejandra Silva in April 2018.

They had been dating for four years.

The pair actually first met when Alejandra was a little girl as Richard is a family friend.

They then reconnected in 2014 at a hotel that Alejandra was managing – the Treville hotel in Positano, Italy.

Richard, who starred in movies including An Officer And A Gentleman and Runaway Bride, has previously admitted he has no worries about being an older father.

Asked if it was something that concerned him, he said: “Not at all. No.”

Richard has dated some of the world’s most famous women.

From 1991-1995 he was married to supermodel Cindy Crawford.

Known for her social media name Bambi Does Beauty, the TikTok star caused a stir when she revealed she still lived with her parents. Here we take a look at Elle’s story.

Elle McNamara was born in August 1990, in Buxton, Derbyshire.

She is a social media influencer who goes by the name Bambi Does Beauty online.

Elle regularly shares videos on skincare, make-up and hair.

Not only does she post about all things beauty, he also gives advice on what she wish she’d have known in her twenties.

Due to her candid approach to skincare and also everyday life, Elle has a whopping 713K followers on Instagram and 410K fans on TikTok (stats correct as of November 2024).

Best beauty hack

In September 2024, Elle posted a clip called “Four things I did to age backwards”, where she showed what she looked like a few years ago vs. now.

In the before pictures, her skin had hyper pigmentation, which made it look dull and dry and she had a few wrinkles across her forehead.

In the new picture, her skin was glowing and plump with no sign of wrinkles anywhere thanks to her four skincare hacks.

Step one:

The first step she revealed was throwing your make-up wipes in the bin.

She said she stopped using them as they were “so drying which emphasises fine lines.’

Instead she recommended using a cleansing balm which is much softer on the skin.

Step two

Next she talked about the importance of keeping your skin hydrated.

Elle told her followers: “Mist, mist and mist again. Hydrating mists stop those dehydration lines that you’ll mistake for wrinkles.”

Step three

Elle recommended using retinol twice a week to help promote new cell growth in the skin.

However, please note that retinol can be potent and may cause irritation, especially when first starting to use it.

It’s recommended to introduce retinol into your skincare routine gradually, starting with a lower concentration and gradually increasing frequency as your skin adjusts.

The beauty expert advised not to use budget SPF creams on your face.

Ella said: “I stopped buying the cheapest SPFs for face and body at the end of the aisle and using on my face – they’re often heavier and can be pore clogging for the skin on the face!”

Living with the parents

In April 2024, Elle divided fans when she revealed she was still living at with her parents at the age of 33.

She made the admission during a short clip called “Things I do that people consider weird at my age”.

Elle then went on to reveal that she still lives at home with her mother and admitted that her 62 and 72-year-old parents are her “best friends”.

The influencer also said she had been single for 14 years and had no aspirations to have kids.

She also told fans she never goes on dating apps or “goes out” with people.

Elle added: “The older I get the more introverted I become.”

In addition, she revealed that she had never learnt how to drive a car and never drunk alcohol, as she hates the taste.

The clip went viral with over 174k likes and over 5,000 comments.

However, her confession left people stunned, with one person writing: “Learning how to drive is a necessity and considering your parent’s age you should for their sake.”

Another commented: “All the things you don’t do.. what do you do?”

“You’re becoming more introverted because you don’t do anything,” penned a third.

Meanwhile a fourth said: “Try doing more things.”

“That driving thing is such a disadvantage for you and everyone around you,” claimed a fifth.

ERIK Menendez’s daughter has shared a cryptic post about her father after rumors swirled about his brother’s alleged love life while behind bars.

Convicted murderer Lyle Menendez faces accusations he cheated on his second wife with a 21-year-old British university student.

Lyle’s second wife, Rebecca Sneed, has denied the allegations on a Facebook page she runs – claiming the pair have been separated for a while.

But Talia Menendez, the daughter of Erik’s wife Tammi, uploaded a cryptic post to her Instagram Stories.

“I feel compelled to share something important,” it started.

“I want to make it clear that Erik and Lyle are two separate individuals.

“The decisions of one brother shouldn’t overshadow the truth about the other.”

Talia, who is not Erik’s biological daughter, explained her family “is going through a lot.”

“I’d appreciate it if people would consider my dad for who he is, and not based on the actions of someone else,” the post continued.

Talia urged people to research before sending hate.

She then shared a black-and-white image of the brothers, taken in November 1989 on the steps of their Beverly Hills home.

Erik and Lyle remain holed up in prison after being sentenced to life behind bars in 1996.

They were convicted of killing their parents, Jose and Kitty Menendez, who were found dead with several gunshot wounds in August 1989.

Their conviction came following a second trial, which began in 1995—more than two years after the first trial was ruled a mistrial.

Both are serving their sentences at the Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego.

Lyle has reportedly been in a relationship with student Milly Bucksey since the start of the year.

He came across Milly when he spotted she was in a Facebook group that was run by his wife.

The Daily Mail reported that Lyle had contacted Milly using a cell phone, which had been seized by cops.

Lyle then used a second device to continue communicating with the student.

Milly studies at the University of Manchester and has reportedly traveled several times to see Lyle.

“Lyle adores Milly,” a source told the Daily Mail.

Lyle has reportedly told Milly he wants to divorce his wife, Rebecca Sneed.

He tied the knot with Sneed in 2003.

A post on the Lyle Menendez Facebook page has vehemently denied any speculation about any scandal.

“Lyle and I have been separated for a while now but remain best friends and family,” it said.

“I continue to run his Facebook pages, with input from him, and I am forever committed to the enduring fight for Lyle and Erik’s freedom, as has been so evident over the years.

“Please keep this page as the abuse survivor support page Lyle wants it to be.

“I’ll continue to update you all on the progress of the case because I believe we all have the common goal of seeing the guys walk free!”

PREVIOUS MARRIAGES

Lyle has been married twice.

His first marriage was with the model Anna Eriksson, and the pair tied the knot in 1996.

They became close after she wrote him a sympathy letter after the first trial was ruled a mistrial.

In 2001, Eriksson filed for divorce after she accused Lyle of being unfaithful.

Lyle was 35 at the time he tied the knot with Sneed.

Lyle gushed about Sneed in an interview with People magazine in 2017.

“She has the courage to deal with the obstacles,” he said.

‘NEW EVIDENCE’

The Menendez brothers are currently serving life without parole, but in October, George Gascon, the then Los Angeles District Attorney, filed a motion that could see the duo resentenced.

During the initial trial, the Menendez brothers claimed they were sexually abused.

And Gascon sent California Governor Gavin Newsom letters that explained the allegations were credible.

A letter written by Erik to his cousin Andy Cano detailed the alleged abuse.

Erik told Cano, who testified in the brothers’ first trial, that he had tried to avoid his father, Jose.

“It’s still happening, Andy, but it’s worse for me now,” he claimed.

“I can’t explain it. He’s so overweight that I can’t stand to see him. I never know when it’s going to happen, and it’s driving me crazy.

“I need to put it out of my mind. I know what you said before, but I’m afraid. You just don’t know dad like I do.”

In the chilling account, Erik described his father as crazy.

The letter was just one piece of evidence that Gascon was reviewing at the time.

But Gascon has since been voted out of office, and his successor will be Nathan Hochman.

Hochman will be sworn into office on December 2 and will be reviewing the Menendez case.

Newsom will not be deciding on any clemency motion until Hochman has reviewed the files.

“I think it’s the right thing to do to hear from the new D.A. before I make any decisions, and so I’ll be deferring to his review, his analysis and recommendation,” the governor explained on his podcast, ‘Politickin.’

“I think [it] is important under the circumstance, out of respect not just to him, the new incoming D.A., but those that elected him rather overwhelmingly in Los Angeles.”

ELIGIBLE families across Ireland look set to receive a €100 cost-of-living boost in just three days.

It comes after Budget 2025 guaranteed the “highest payment” for Irish families – with maternity, paternity, adoptive and parents benefit increasing by €15 weekly, totalling €289.

The payment is now on par with the state pension for the highest payment in the Social Protection system.

And a double Child Benefit payment in November, which has already been paid out, alongside another €280 double bonus next month was also confirmed in the budget.

The majority of the Budget 2025 bonus payments, announced as part of the whopping €2.2 billion cost of living package, have already been paid out.

However, the next payment – the Child Support Grant – is set to hit the accounts of eligible people on Monday.

The payment was formerly known as the Qualified Child allowance but was renamed to provide more clarity.

Speaking in October, Minister for Social Protection Heather Humphrey’s said: “It has become clear to me that few people understand the term increase for a qualified child.

“I am therefore renaming this payment to the child support payment.”

The payment saw its largest ever increase in the budget, going up to €50 per week for under 12s, and €62 per week for over 12s.

The increases means the total annual value of the Child Support Payment will be €2,600 for each child under 12 and €3,224 for each child over 12.

Humphrey’s said: “Today’s budget is about giving people a little extra help and putting money back in their pockets.”

And the Child Support Grant is the next payment set to be doled out as part of the cost-of-living package.

Those in receipt of the grant will will be paid a €100 bonus on the week beginning Monday, 25 November – which is just three days away.

Child Support Payment is an extra amount of money that is paid out on top of the personal rate a person receives as part of a social welfare payment.

People who receive certain payments are not eligible for the cash and in some circumstances people may only get a half-rate of the boost.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

To get Child Support Payment, your child must:

• Live with you
• Meet the age requirement for that payment
• Be resident in the State
• Not be in legal custody (detained in a detention school)

It can be paid on behalf of foster children.

And your child does not have to be financially dependent on you and they can be working and earning money without affecting the increase paid to you.

However, you generally do not get CSP if your child is getting their own social welfare payment, except in certain circumstances.

If your child is 18 or over, you can continue getting CSP for three months after they leave second level education, or finish the Leaving Certificate.

And you can still avail of the cash if your child starts work immediately after finishing school.

If your child is in full-time education and you are getting a long-term social welfare payment, or a short-term social welfare payment for at least 156 days, you will get the boost until your child turns 22 or until the end of the academic year in which they turn 22.

If you are getting a short-term social welfare payment, time spent on other social welfare payments can be combined to meet the 156 days.

However, the period between any two payments cannot be more than 26 weeks – or be more than 52 weeks in the case of Jobseeker’s Allowance payments.

WHO IS NOT ELIGIBLE?

You do not get Child Support Payment if you are receiving:

• Working Family Payment
• Guardian’s Payment (Contributory)
• Guardian’s Payment (Non-Contributory)
• Widow’s, Widower’s or Surviving Civil Partner’s (Non-Contributory) Pension
• Death Benefit by way of Orphan’s Payment

And you can’t avail of the boost if the gross income of your spouse, civil partner or cohabitant is over €400, and you get illness benefit, injury benefit, health and safety benefit, jobseekers benefit, disablement benefit, carer’s benefit or the contributory state pension.

You do not get CSP if your child is getting a social welfare payment or Supplementary Welfare Allowance in their own right.

There is an exception to this rule if your child is receiving the disablement benefit.

However, if you are getting CSP during the summer holiday period between academic years and your child becomes entitled to a social welfare payment in their own right, you will continue to get the CSP and your child’s payment is reduced by the amount of the CSP.

To get Child Support Payment, you must give details about your child dependant on your claim form when you apply for a social welfare payment.

If you did not claim for your child dependant at the time you made your claim, you should contact the section in the Department of Social Protection which pays your social welfare payment.

Or you can contact your local Intreo or Branch office.

SPOTTING this unusual plant on a rare 50p coin could fetch you a hefty sum.

The commemorative Kew Gardens coin, which was minted in 2009, was created to mark 250 years since the botanical gardens opened in 1759.

Only 210,000 of these coins were created by the Royal Mint, making it one of the rarest pieces out there.

The front of the coin has an image of the late Queen Elizabeth II, with the engraver’s initials, Ian Rank-Broadley, below.

What makes it special is the reverse, which features a leafy vine wrapped around a Chinese pagoda.

It also has the date of the year it was made to commemorate the anniversary.

In the past, these coins have sold for up to £700 on eBay.

Recently, the coin has not sold for as much, but if you have one lying around, it can still fetch a hefty sum.

One buyer recently paid £187 for the Kew Gardens coin following a bid on eBay.

And earlier this week, another seller managed to flog the coin for £140 after 14 bids.

On the same day, another buyer paid £143 for the coin after a bidding war between 26 people.

However, it is important to remember that coins are only worth how much a bidder is willing to pay.

So, if you are keen to sell a coin, it is worth bearing in mind that you could end up receiving more or less than you initially hoped for.

It is important to remember that this 2009 Kew Gardens coin is uncirculated, meaning you would not receive it as change if you paid for something in a shop.

In 2019, The Royal Mint also released a second version of the coin.

Its reverse is identical to the original; the only difference is the date, which reads 2019.

These coins have been listed for up to £90 pounds on eBay but none have appeared to be sold in the last month.

How to spot rare coins and banknotes

Rare coins and notes hiding down the back of your sofa could sell for hundreds of pounds.

If you are lucky enough to find a rare £10 note you might be able to sell it for multiple times its face value.

You can spot rare notes by keeping an eye out for the serial numbers.

These numbers can be found on the side with the Monarch’s face, just under the value £10 in the corner of the note.

Also if you have a serial number on your note that is quite quirky you could cash in thousands.

For example, one seller bagged £3,600 after spotting a specific serial number relating to the year Jane Austen was born on one of their notes.

You can check if your notes are worth anything on eBay, just tick “completed and sold items” and filter by the highest value.

This will give you an idea of what people are willing to pay for some notes.

But bear in mind that yours is only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it.

This is also the case for coins, you can determine how rare your coin is by looking a the latest scarcity index.

The next step is to take a look at what has been recently sold on eBay.

Experts from Change Checker recommend checking “sold listings” to ensure the coin sold for the specified amount, rather than just being listed.

A MURDERER’S final words before he was executed left witnesses shocked, as he was gassed to death in a 19 minute gruelling ordeal.

Carey Dale Grayson, 50, was executed with nitrogen gas following the murder of a hitchhiker in Alabama 30 years ago.

In 1994, he and three other teenaged friends killed and later mutilated Vickie DeBlieux, 37, as she hitchhiked through the state on the way to her mother’s home in Louisiana. 

Her beaten body was found at the bottom of a bluff near Odenville, Alabama on February 26.

The execution process was carried out on November 21.

It was interrupted by Carey’s foul-mouthed final words.

As he was allowed to speak his last thoughts, he said to the prison warden: “You need to f*** off.”

He could also be seen pointing his middle finger towards what appeared to be the middle of the room towards witnesses.

Something else was said in a loud manner, but it is not clear what it was.

The murderer could be seen convulsing and gasping for air as the nitrogen gas was pumped into his mask.

He could also be seen thrashing and shaking his head from left to right.

He reportedly stopped breathing at 6.21pm, and was pronounced dead at 6.33pm.

Carey was convicted for the murder after offering her a ride with his three other buddies.

Vickie was was hitchhiking from Chattanooga, Tennessee, to her mothers home in West Monroe, when the four teens offered her a ride.

Prosecutors said at the time that the Carey and his pals took her into the woods where they attacked and beat her to death.

They later revisited the scene to mutilate the body.

They would return to cut her body 180 times, cut off her fingers and remove a portion of her lung.

A medical examiner testified that her face was so fractured that she was identified by an earlier X-ray of her spine.

Carey was just 19 at the time of the vicious attack, and his co-defendants were all under 18.

He was sentenced to death, whilst the other three all had their death sentences amended to life in 2005.

It was argued that them being minors made the prospect of execution unconstitutional.

Carey’s death was the third execution to be carried out using nitrogen gas.

DeBlieux’s daughter Jodi Haley was 12 when her mother was killed.

She said: “She was unique. She was spontaneous. She was wild. She was funny.

She was gorgeous to boot.”

The crime has been fiercely lambasted by Gov. Kay Ivey.

She said: “Some 30 years ago, Vicki DeBlieux’s journey to her mother’s house and ultimately her life were horrifically cut short because of Carey Grayson and three other men.

“She sensed something was wrong, attempted to escape, but instead was brutally tortured and murdered.

“Even after her death, Mr. Grayson’s crimes against Ms. DeBlieux were heinous, unimaginable, without an ounce of regard for human life and just unexplainably mean.

“An execution by nitrogen hypoxia bares no comparison to the death and dismemberment Ms. DeBlieux experienced.

“I pray for her loved ones, that they may continue finding closure and healing.”

NITROGEN GAS CONTROVERSY

Despite the brutality of Carey’s crime, his method of execution remains highly controversial.

The state executed Alan Eugene Miller, 59, and Kenneth Eugene Smith, 58, earlier this year using nitrogen gas.

They were both seen shaking and trembling on the gurney for about two minutes as the nitrogen made its way into their systems.

Attorney John Palombi noted that both men were also conscious as their bodies reacted to the procedure.

He said: “I would submit to the court that being conscious and being suffocated for a period of time constitutes terror that is superadded to this protocol that does not have to be there, as acknowledged by the fact that the state is willing to, if he requests it, give Mr. Grayson a sedative.”

Robert Overing, Alabama‘s deputy solicitor general, disagreed with the attorney.

He argued; “This is really apples and oranges, trying to use the term “suffocation” to evoke a fear and pain that doesn’t exist with this method.”

Carey was denied his request for a sedative before being put to death.

Protestors argued that the execution should have been halted, noting Carey’s traumatic childhood, prompting drug and alcohol abuse from a young age.

He also suffered from bipolar disorder.
