‘Amazing value for money’ say shoppers as Boots slashes 8-piece tanning set from £100 to £50
FAKE tan is an essential all year round, especially in winter when my skin is, quite honestly, ghostly pale.
Leading self-tan brand Bondi Sands has heard my cries for a sun-kissed glow just in time for winter – and the brand’s eight-piece gift set has been slashed in price by 50%.
Bondi Sands Ultimate Aussie Glow 8-Piece Gift Set, £49.50 (was £100)
While the limited edition Ultimate Aussie Glow Gift Set can’t jet me off to sunny climates, it can make me look like I’ve been on vacation with its variety of tanning products.
Bondi Sands has curated an impressive fake tan bundle, which could save you over £50.
The Ultimate Aussie Glow 8-Piece Gift Set has been reduced from £100 down to £49.50 at Boots.
This off deal is part of Boots’ Star Gifts, which sees select items reduced by more than 50%.
The eight-piece bundle from Bondi Sands has been expertly curated to cover all fake tan bases, as it features a variety of bestselling products from the brand for the body and face.
The set includes a selection of Self Tanning Foams, and in different shades, as well as Bondi Sands Gradual Tanning Lotion and One-Hour Express Tan.
If you have time to let your tan marinate the gradual tanning lotion, or Self Tanning Foam are often the preferred options, while the latter also delivers a deeper tan.
But, of course, you can’t have a tanned body and not a glowing face, so I am pleased to see numerous fake tan products designed for the face included in this bundle, namely the Gradual Tanning Face Lotion and the Tinted Face Fluid.
Some may use the excess tan used on the body for their face, however, I prefer a tan specifically designed for the face as I have a tendency to breakout when I have used other brands on the face.
If you are looking for a lighter formula for your face, and one with UV protection, Bondi Sands has included the multipurpose SPF50+ Fragrance Free Tinted Face Fluid in the set.
Bondi Sands has left no stone unturned as this limited edition bundle also includes a mitt, which is an absolute essential when it comes to perfecting your fake tan session.
Plus, shoppers will receive a tan remover to help get rid of any tan and prep the skin for your next pamper session.

Scots city cancels annual Christmas festival amid amber weather warning
A SCOTS city council has cancelled a major annual Christmas event -with severe weather warnings in place.
Organisers have expressed their disappointment at having to axe one of the area’s festive favourites.
The annual Xmas event has been cancelled for the first time and fans are hugely disappointed by the news[/caption] Glasgow held its lights switch on last week but another major Scots city won’t be able to have theirs this festive season[/caption]Perth and Kinross Council has cancelled the city’s Christmas Lights Switch-On with yellow and amber weather warnings in place.
Organisers have cited safety concerns alongside potential difficulties for visitors travelling from outwith the city.
The event was set to take place this weekend, with activities taking place across Saturday and Sunday.
The short notice means rather than the event being re-arranged – it won’t go ahead at all this year.
In a statement on their Facebook page, Perth and Kinross Council said: “Unfortunately, after closely monitoring the weather forecasts and consulting with our suppliers, we’ve decided to cancel the Christmas Lights Switch-On Weekend activities on Saturday and Sunday due to safety concerns and potential difficulties with travel from outwith Perth.
“In particular, the yellow warning for strong winds which could pose a public safety risk with large structures like the stages.
“We are also aware that with the wider amber and yellow weather warnings there are people who would otherwise be involved in supporting these events may be needed to provide responses to the impact of weather elsewhere in Perth and Kinross.
“Perth’s Christmas Lights Switch-On event has been a staple of the city centre event calendar for many years and, barring Covid, this is the first time we have ever had to cancel it.
“Unfortunately, due to the timescales and costs involved, we will not be able to reschedule the event to an alternative date.
“However, the Christmas cabins and Santa Grotto will remain in place as advertised.
“We regret and share the disappointment of everyone who was looking forward to the event.
“We’re sure you agree that safety must come first.
“Thank you for your understanding.”
Fan have flocked to the post to express their disappointment, but are in agreement that the correct decision was made.
One wrote: “That’s a shame for the children that were performing but best to be safe.”
Another added: “I was looking forward to it tomorrow, but I think the decision has been well researched if weather conditions aren’t right.”
A third said: “We’ve attended every year – it’s always a brilliant event. While disappointed, with the forecast, it’s the right call to make.”
A fourth wrote: “Disappointing but understandable. Gutted for everyone that’s put so much effort into putting this together.”
