THE bomb squad has swooped on Buchanan Bus Station in Glasgow after a suspicious item was found.
Strathclyde Transport Partnership said the busy travel hub had been closed from 1.50pm today.

Emergency services have locked down the surrounding area to traffic and pedestrians.
Police Scotland have urged the public to stay away.
The Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team has been notified.
A statement from Police Scotland read: “Buchanan Bus Station is closed following a report of a potential suspicious item around 1.10pm.
“Killermont Street is closed to traffic and pedestrians. The public is advised to avoid the area.
“EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) has been notified and enquiries are ongoing.”
