Sinead is renowned for her trendy style both on and off screen and this week’s first look is a total showstopper.

The Cork lady took to Instagram after filming the hit chat show to share some snaps of herself posing on set in the RTE studios.

The 40-year-old looked super glamorous as she donned a sparkly figure-hugging maxi dress from Topshop.

The tight-fitted dress had a rounded neckline, long sleeves and a flowy skirt.

The mum-of-two opted to pair the look with a simple black leather belt from Karen Millen and a pair of knee-high boots from Aldo.

The Irish host also added a pop of colour to the outfit with a some statement purple lipstick.

She also wore her cropped blonde bob down in some loose curls.

Sinead wrote in her caption: “From the back of the wardrobe. The dress is old Topshop on ASOS.

“I bought it last year when I was pregnant with Theo but there was only so much it would stretch so never got to wear it.”

Sinead and her husband Conor Kirwan welcomed their second baby Theo Will into the world last November.

The doting mum only returned to screens in September after almost 10 months off air due to taking extended maternity leave.

Fans of the star all flocked to the Instagram comments with sweet comments about her Monday TV look.

Kate wrote: “You always dress sooo good.”

Patrick said: “You look amazing Sinead.”

While Mary gushed: “Ahh not able.”

And Michael remarked: “Always looking gorgeous Sinead and I love the energy you bring to the show.”

X Factor star looks worlds away from ITV fame as she walks Wicked red carpet with Ariana Grande

X FACTOR star Lucie Jones looked worlds away from her ITV fame as she walked the Wicked red carpet with Ariana Grande last night.

Lucie, 33, who first rose to fame on the talent show in 2009, played protagonist Elphaba Thropp in the West End production between 2022 and 2023.

While Cynthia Erivo‘s taking on the role for the film adaptation, Lucie still got to come along to yesterday’s UK premiere at the Royal Festival Hall in London.

The singer put on a stunning display in a racy black blazer with a plunging neckline and an assortment of buttons.

She wore coordinating trousers and toted her essentials around in a silver clutch, wearing bold green eyeshadow in line with the film’s colour scheme.

Lucie even shared a group shot with Ariana and Cynthia as the film’s cast and their West End counterparts came together at the event.

Lucie first rose to fame when she competed on The X Factor in 2009.

Although she didn’t win the competition, finishing in eighth place, she has since proven her talent extends far beyond reality TV.

Following The X Factor, she took on various roles in West End productions, and most notably, the coveted role of Elphaba.

Her portrayal of the misunderstood witch has garnered rave reviews.

She has starred in productions such as Les Misérables, Bat Out of Hell, and Rent, earning praise for her powerful voice and stage presence.

Lucie went on to compete in Eurovision back in 2017 where she finished in 15th place.

She blamed Brexit for her disappointing showing, where she didn’t manage to get a single point from Germany or France.

In an exclusive interview just hours after the result, Lucie said: “I had no idea how Brexit was going to affect the vote until I was there. I did notice lots of Brexit comments.

“I mean the Aussies were the only ones to give us 12 points out of everyone — now that was pretty awkward.”

Making it all even more annoying for the former X Factor contestant was that she had voted to REMAIN.

Speaking as she headed home from Kiev, Lucie said: “I did vote to remain in the EU, but hey, not much we can do about it now.

“Lots of people voted to leave and we’re a democracy and that’s the way of the world. S*** happens.”

While the singer had not realised how feelings about the referendum would affect her scores, others had feared the worst.

Despite this, Lucie said she was proud of her performance of ballad Never Give Up On You — especially because she didn’t come last like certain previous UK entrants.

She explained: “You know what, I’m feeling good.

“We didn’t come last which I’m thrilled about.

“We got great public response and I have had loads of messages of support from celebrities.

“It’s great that we got the support from home.

“All the messages have been just overwhelming.”

Little-known iPhone setting warns you JUST before snow starts to avoid weather chaos – switch it on now

SNOW has swept across the UK today leaving chaotic conditions for many – and more is forecast to land this week.

The chilly weather has led to some treacherous conditions on roads, as well as train cancellations and school closures.

A yellow weather warning is in place for some areas[/caption]

Setting takes only a few seconds to set-up[/caption]

Three yellow weather warnings for snow and ice across different areas of the UK have been issued by the Met Office, covering over the Midlands, northern England, parts of Northern Ireland, north east Wales and sections of Northern Ireland.

And there could be more trouble tomorrow, with further warnings in place for snow and ice.

A yellow alert has been issued along the east coast of Scotland and England from Berwickshire to Suffolk from 6pm today to midday on Wednesday.

While Blighty’s weather can be pretty unpredictable at times there is a handy iPhone trick that could spare you some of the snow chaos.

Apple’s very own Weather app will let you know minutes before snow is about to hit your current location, so you can plan accordingly.

It’ll also ping you when snow is due to end.

The feature is all part of the default Apple Weather app already on your iPhone.

Away from snow, it works for things like rain as well.

All you need to do is set it up in a matter of seconds so you’re not caught out by snow or any other weather changes.

Find out how below.

IPHONE SNOW ALERTS

To begin, you’ll need to make sure the Weather app has access to your location so it can give you the right predictions.

You can do this by going to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > Weather.

Choose Always, and turn on Precise Location.

Next, head into the Weather app.

Select the menu button located in the bottom right corner, the one that looks like three bullet-points.

Next, tap on the menu icon in the top right (the one with three dots inside a circle).

Go to Notifications.

You should see a section called Current Location, which has two options below it called Severe Weather and Next-Hour Precipitation.

Turn the two on.

Both are very handy but it’s the Next-Hour Precipitation warnings that do the trick for those snow weather alerts.

“Next-hour precipitation forecasts and precipitation notifications are available for Australia, Ireland, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States,” Apple says.

“The information is provided by Apple using data from national weather services.”

Can you miss work if it's snowing and do you get paid for snow days?

ANYONE looking forward to a snow day should double-check their work contract to see if they get paid for time off.

Senior Consumer Reporter Olivia Marshall explains your rights.

Your boss can’t force you to travel to work in dangerous conditions, but they don’t have to pay you either.

You may need to work from home, take unpaid leave, or make up the hours later.

Check your office handbook and contract for extreme weather policies.

If your office closes but you were ready to work, your company can’t dock your pay.

Employers can’t force you to take holiday without notice.

You should get paid in full if your hours are reduced due to weather conditions.

Generally, you can’t take time off just because it’s cold, but employers must provide a reasonable level of comfort.

The Health and Safety Executive suggests offices should be at least 16 degrees Celsius.

Employers should consider flexible working hours and extra breaks.

Legally, you can take time off to look after dependants in emergencies, such as school closures.

This time is usually unpaid unless stated in your contract.

Inform your employer as soon as possible about your situation.

Make sure to explain the reason for your absence and how long it will last.

Those with worker status rather than employee status need to arrange with their employer.

Watch Jeremy Clarkson blast ‘classic BBC’ as he shoots down Victoria Derbyshire at protest over Labour’s ‘tractor tax’

JEREMY Clarkson today slammed his former employer over its coverage of the farmers’ protest.

The former Top Gear presenter is among 10,000 farmers protesting Labour’s so-called ‘tractor tax’, announced in the Autumn Budget.

He accused the Beeb of being a ‘mouthpiece’[/caption]

During a fiery interview with Victoria Derbyshire he angrily said: “Typical BBC. You people.”

Mr Clarkson, 64, accused the Newsnight host of failing to be impartial in her reporting of the Government’s inheritance tax grab.

Desperate farmers have driven their tractors on the capital to show their dismay at Chanceller Rachel Reeves’ plan to limit existing 100% inheritance tax relief on farms to only the first £1million.

Ms Derbyshire asked Mr Clarkson: “So, it’s not about you, your farm and to avoid inheritance attack?”

The Clarkson’s Farm and Grand Tour star rolled his eyes and said: “Classic BBC there. Classic.”

Ms Derbyshire responded “is it?” before referencing an article Mr Clarkson had written in the Sunday Times in 2021 about the tax benefits of buying a farm.

The presenter said: “Typical BBC. You people.”

He disputed Ms Derbyshire’s claim it was a “fact” he bought his farm for tax purposes, before adding that she was simply expressing her “opinion”.

He went on to joke she had formed her views at the same “sixth form debating society” as Ms Reeves.

Mr Clarkson then laughed when Ms Derbyshire said: “I am not expressing opinions I am literally asking you questions.”

The BBC journalist then repeated the Chancellor’s claims that inheritance tax going up would “raise money for public services”.

Mr Clarkson then turned to the crowds of farmers and asked: “Are you listening to this?”

Explaining his purchase of his farm he said: “Let’s start from the beginning I wanted to shoot, which comes with the benefit of not paying inheritance tax, now I do.

“People like me will simply put it in a trust, and so long as I live for seven years that’s fine.

“As my daughter says, you might be in a deep freeze at the end of it, but you will live for seven years.

“It is incredibly time consuming to have to do that, why should all these people have to do that, why should they?”

He argued the rise had been brought in, to “stop wealthy people”.

Ms Derbyshire then asked “where should they get their money from if not farmers?” to which Clarkson replied: “Did you hear that everyone? BBC thinks you should be paying for everything.”

He added: “Do you know how many people pay inheritance tax in this country?

“Four per cent pay inheritance tax, 96 per cent of the population of the UK does not pay inheritance tax. After this becomes a law, 96 per cent of farmers will.”

Asked where he’d got his figure from, Mr Clarkson turned to the crowd of farmers and said: “Who here is going to be unaffected by these changes? No one.”

He went on to say his message to the Government is: “Please back down… they’ve got £40billion, I’ll tell you where to get the money from, walk into any offices around here, if you don’t understand what somebodies’ job is, fire them.”

Shock jockey change on defending champion Fastorslow for Punchestown John Durkan Chase after injury nightmare

JJ SLEVIN will miss the HUGE ride on defending champion Fastorslow in the John Durkan Chase because of a gutting foot injury.

The Irish-based Martin Brassil has drafted in amateur rider Derek O’Connor as the lucky replacement for the Grade One.

O’Connor is more than trusted to take the reins
The Times

Despite not being a professional, O’Connor is a veteran amateur champion and has been described as “a master” over fences.

He’s also more than proven himself when taking on the professionals too. His big race successes include the 2018 Irish Gold Cup on the Joseph O’Brien-trained and J P McManus’-owned Edwulf.

And last March he just missed out on becoming the first rider to win all three amateur prizes at the Cheltenham Festival.

Brassil said: “He hasn’t ridden him on the track before, but he would actually have schooled him when he came to me originally.”

But the Kildare-trainer is confident regardless of his jockey change.

He said: “He’s only an eight-year-old still and is only coming into his prime,” he said. “The ground wouldn’t really matter. He goes on yielding and handles soft so it shouldn’t be an issue.”

Slevin has been on board for all of Fastorslow’s eight runs over fences in the UK and Ireland.

These include last year’s Durkan and the Gold Cup at the Punchestown festival TWICE.

But Slevin will have to watch on from the sidelines due to the broken bone in his foot.

He earlier reported that he needs another procedure on the injury, but reckons he’ll be back to fighting fit soon afterwards.

He said: “I would hope to be back comfortably for Christmas. You’d want to be riding a few days before Christmas to be riding at Christmas.”

Fact To File heads the betting for the race at 11-8, ahead of stablemate Galopin Des Champs, at 5-2.

Fastorslow is 11-4 for a repeat success following the latest entry stafe for the Grade One.
