‘I need some help’, RTE fave Patrick Kielty’s son cries after dad plays epic prank that has mum Cat Deeley in stitches
PATRICK Kielty has played a hilarious prank on his young son that made his wife Cat Deeley erupt into fits of laughter.
The Late Late Show host is renowned for his cheeky sense of humour and it’s safe to say his two sons are following suit.
Patrick and his This Morning host wife Cat are parents to two sons Milo, eight, and James, five.
The family of four previously resided in Los Angeles but made the decision to move to North London in 2020 to be closer to home.
With two young boys, there is no doubt the Kielty/Deeley household is full of fun and laughter.
In a recent video posted to Cat’s Instagram, Patrick had the whole family in stitches laughing.
After they had received a large box with a new rug in it, Kielty decided to remove the rug and put the box over his son’s head.
The massive box completely covered the little lad and had him shouting to get out.
Cat was in fits of laughter as she watched her son struggle to free himself from the box.
The youngster hilariously shouted: “Ugh I need some help? I think I need some help?”
Cat and Patrick continued to laugh at the scene unfolding as their son continued to flail about in the box.
The British star humorously captioned her post: “We’ve got a very chatty rug.”
Separately, Patrick has revealed his major career plans for after the Late Late Show final this year.
The Down native is going back to his comedy roots as he brings his critically acclaimed comedy tour Borderline to Vicar Street, Dublin.
The dad-of-two began his stand-up career as host of Belfast’s first comedy club ‘The Empire Laughs Back’ in the early 90s.
PADDY’S PLANS
Patrick hasn’t performed in the iconic Dublin venue in almost 20 years and will be making his first appearance back next June, 2025, after he wraps up his second season on the helm of the Late Late Show.
The 53-year-old has described his show as “an ode to peace, borders and identity in a world turned upside down”.
Patrick will be taking to the stage on Friday, June 6, and Saturday, June 7, 2025.
The tickets are priced at €40 and go on sale next week, on Thursday, November 14, at 10am on Ticketmaster.
TOY SHOW TIME
Patrick is currently getting ready for the busiest night of the year – the Late Late Toy Show.
The RTE show will take place on the slightly later date of Friday, December 6 this year.
Ticket applications to be a part of the audience officially opened yesterday as the countdown for the “magical night” begins.
