Naruto Shippuden had some of the most awesome Naruto fights. The Fourth Shinobi World War is one of the greatest arcs, with awesome action scenes sprinkled throughout. The main attraction, of course, is Naruto’s battles with Madara.
While Madara was a dominant force on the battlefield, Naruto has shown his immense prowess over various jutsus. In fact, one of them definitely caught Madara by surprise, although he had to conceal his astonishment very fast.
Madara Uchiha was Momentarily Terrified of an Extremely Powerful Jutsu by Naruto
Episode 322 of Naruto Shippuden features Madara in a terrifying form as he takes down a large part of the Fourth Division by himself. Gaara and Naruto somehow manage to corner him, but Madara activates his Susanoo. Gaara then snatches Madara away from the Susanoo, and Naruto attacks at that exact moment with Rasenshuriken.
In the subtlest of details, you can see the exact moment when Gaara is astonished by the jutsu. He was probably wondering what in the world Naruto just threw at him with so much power. In fact, the force and energy of the Rasenshuriken forced Madara to activate his Rinnegan and absorb the attack. Even so, the villain commented that there was too much energy in the attack.
It was clear that Madara could never take the attack head-on and had to resort to his Rinnegan to contain the damage. Given that Madara was under the usage of Edo Tensei, he was already pretty powerful with extremely fast regeneration powers. He still decided that the orange jumpsuit guy had to be taken seriously.
The Rasenshuriken is Naruto’s Formidable Attack
The Raenshuriken was a jutsu invented by Naruto, and it requires a great deal of chakra to perform. In his Sage Mode, Naruto can create two Rasenshuriken per transformation, though he could use more as the series progresses. The four points of the Rasenshuriken are extremely sharp, enough to disintegrate Pain’s Human Path. After colliding with its target, the just produces a vortex of wind with countless microscopic wind blades inside it, too many for even the Sharingan to count.
By using this power, Naruto can pierce every cell in the body of his target, thus disconnecting them from the chakra circulating system. Tsunade even likens the damage to poison and had warned that too much damage from this power would prevent the target from using jutsu ever again.
The Rasenshuriken is definitely one of Naruto’s most elite attacks. Given that even Madara was shocked by such a dense ball of energy, one has to give credit where it is due. Naruto developed this jutsu with extreme dedication, and it definitely paid off in battles.
Naruto manga is available to read on Viz Media, and the anime is currently streaming on Crunchyroll.
