There is one thing that Masashi Kishimoto does best and that is well-written characters. His series peaked in terms of its popularity but also its relevance to society. From loneliness and pain to loss and suffering, the mangaka brilliantly outlined complexities.
This also applies to most of his characters. Amidst these details though, the mangaka left several inconsistencies in the premise. That is, until, fans pointed out his major blunder in the series.

Not to mention, the mangaka reigns supreme in his creation of flawed yet familiar characters. And while this hooks the readers and viewers, there are downsides to his series as well.
Barring the pacing and filler criticism, Kishimoto’s series has faced flak for its plot inconsistencies. Like most Shonen series, this too has its fair share of plot holes. With his manga’s closure, he left several questions unanswered.
Although this is less of a pothole and more of a fumble, it continues to bother fans nonetheless. A major blunder by the mangaka had most fans racking their brains on the internet.

Fans often overlook the character’s potential in the face of criticism. More often than not, her abilities and strength remain uncharted. And like most female characters in the series, she was diabolically nerfed.
This isn’t to say she’s a bad character but she clearly deserved more screen time. Additionally, she remains an unsung hero for most reasons in Kishimoto’s series.
Kushina Uzumaki is the unsung heroine in Naruto
Like most female characters in the series, Kushina Uzumaki doesn’t get enough credit. From her mastery of sealing jutsu to her chakra prowess, the Red Hot-Blooded Habanero is lethal. She is more than formidable in terms of her strength and knowledge.
Since the beginning of Naruto, we have witnessed her zeal and determination to become a Hokage. Her free-spirited nature is what adds to her likeability. But what truly makes her character stand out is her feisty nature and protectiveness.
Even as a Jinchuriki, she possessed immense strength for more reasons than one. Firstly, this has to do with her Uzumaki clan lineage that allowed her to manipulate chakra chains and survive the ordeal.
Apart from that, her knowledge of the clan’s sealing justu aka Fuinjutsu proved to be formidable. As a kunoichi born in Uzushiogakure, her fluency in sealing jutsu makes her remarkable in most aspects. She even taught her husband Fuinjutsu along with Reaper Death Seal Jutsu.
Despite her fluency in Fuinjutsu and chakra prowess, it’s saddening that Kishimoto didn’t utilize the character’s full potential. It would be a delight to see the mangaka work on a prequel outlining her abilities.
