A TOP coastal resort has been crowned spa hotel of the year in a national awards ceremony.
The British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology (BABTAC) and Confederation of International Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology (CIBTAC) Annual Awards were held this month.

A number of top brands were handed gongs at the plush do staged at the Fairmont Windsor Hotel, near London.
Known for its rigorous judging and standards of high quality, entering the BABTAC and CIBTAC awards is a must for all therapists looking to progress their career or business.
Meanwhile, CIBTAC is one of the longest established awarding bodies within the spa, health and beauty sector.
And the SimpsInns’ The Gailes Hotel & Spa on Marine Drive in Irvine was awarded a top accolade, taking home Boutique Spa Hotel of the Year.

And the hotel boss revealed another Scottish favourite will get a major revamp next year.
He said: “Plans are already under way to expand the Si! Spa brand to The Waterside Hotel at West Kilbride with the launch of our new £3million sea view spa in spring 2025.”
